Hard Internet conexion in woody laptop

2003-02-16 Thread Dragón
Hello!!

I'm using woody in a laptop

But I haven't been lucky setting it up to sail Internet, because when
I'm in a network connected to Internet I'm able to ping the gateway but
not to sail.

I've just bought a real rs232 external modem but I get the same result.
I ping the gateway with no problems but not getting the browser working
out.

I've tried two official kernels and a custom one but it is the same: no
browsing Internet at all.

I think it is not related with kernel modules. I put up the ppp0 with
`pon' and the eth0 and usbd0 with `ifconfig'.

My mind is blank now, I don't know how can I make it work.

Can you help me?

Thanks.

Thanks.

I'm back to potato, may be this Woody I've got works better after
upgrading
it, I've installed it from the scratch.

I've tried the tarball but didn't work, the ./configure command said
"bad
interpreter" I think that this Woody hasn't got good roots (is from unofficial
CDs) and is very unstable.

Here the attachement with the strace output.

Thanks Very Much to both of you.

It works now. I 've just left everything blank except the 'database name'
and works fine with pgaccess but no with mpsql, because mpsql doesn't
let me keep anything blank.

Cheers.

psql doesn't work in GUI

2000-12-30 Thread Dragón
 Connection to database 'mibsedatos' failed.
ERROR: connectDB() - connect() failed: ConexiCn rehusada
Is the postmaster running (with -i) at 'localhost' and
accepting connections on TCP/IP port '5432'?

With psql no problem but the problem comes out with
mpsql and pgaccess.

 idea?

 Thanks.

Acer Travel Mate 507t (Solved)

2000-12-17 Thread Dragón
The problem was anXious because this command doesn't work properly. I've
fixed the problem
when I've discovered the XF86Setup command which is a wonderful tool.

Now the problem is that some programs don't work, like the database
managers and the
screensavers, they even don't give me any error messages.

  Cheers.
