permission denied
I've mounted the cd and can read off of it. Permissions for a particular file look like -rwxr-xr-x 901 root size Install Yet when I type ./Install from that directory as root, I get permission denied. What gives? I have no idea where to look. ebt - have fun -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .

Thanking all in advance, Marisol I've never been able to get rawrite2 to work with the paramenters. What does work is running it interactively. First type rawrite2enter Then it asks for file, type rsc1200r.binenter Finally, it asks for drive, type aenter Now you should see it writing track/side info. I have found that rawrite2 worked best when i ran it from the directory where the files i wanted copied lived. d:\wher\rawrite2\is\rawrite2 -f file.nam -d a: There were other useful parameters; but I have forgotten them. still not installed
On instalation boot disk you can add parameters like st0x=iobase... Just hitting enter didn't work. I'm up to a buslogic (flashpoint) which I thought was supported. An adaptec2940u which won't even boot dos (on my box)(I still wonder if I just wasn't cramming it into the slot mean enough) but works on someone elses. And I've got an ncr controller which at I think is being recognized by the bout floppies but not hp disk drive on it nor the cd-rom. [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: still not installed
I'd love to be able to blame this on the editor sigh. The question? What is the iobase where do I get the right number? The original almost included I'm trying to install debian 1.1. I should be able to get the latest trilinux cd this weekend. On instalation boot disk you can add parameters like st0x=iobase... Just hitting enter didn't work.
