dpkg-buildpackage
Hi! I've got a problem with building Packages with dpkg-builpackage. I thought it should be possible to rebuild Packages from their sources who were extracted from *.orig.tar.gz with dpkg-source -x. But instead dpkg returned vampira:[xldlas-0.85] # dpkg-buildpackage -us -uc no utmp entry available, using value of LOGNAME (jenne) at /usr/lib/dpkg/controllib.pl line 16. no utmp entry available, using value of LOGNAME (jenne) at /usr/lib/dpkg/controllib.pl line 16. parsechangelog/debian: error: unable to open substvars file debian/substvars: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden dpkg-buildpackage: unable to determine source package What is debian/substvars, and why is it not there? My intention was to rebuild the package after modifying the sources. Jens -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . question about wget and proxies
I tried to downloed some files with wget ftp. wget is always responsing No route to host. I'm stuck behind a firewall of my provider. http download works fine, and ftp proxy vars are set like the http proxy vars. Any Idea? btw. is their a ftp-client package with proxy support? Is it possible to chat over a firewall? (tf is able to do such thing!) And why does netscape-3.01 gunzip all .gz and .tgz files??? (Not fair if you download a orig.tar.gz file!) jenne -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
Re: xemacs20 wd buffer too small??
Sen Nagata wrote: i no longer have this problem. a kind soul on #debian helped diagnose the problem. in my case, xemacs was trying to use libc5 libraries -- the fix was to change the order of directories in /etc/ld.so.conf -- /usr/X11R6/lib came after two libc5-compat directories, so i put it before them. dpkg error message
I want to recompile the ftape package for kernel-2.0.32. I've made a dpkg-source -x ftape_3.04d-1.dsc dpkg-source: error: tarfile `./ftape_3.04d.orig.tar.gz' contains object (ftape-3.04d/) not in expected directory (ftape-3.04d.orig) What does this mean? jenne -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . xemacs20 wd buffer too small??
I've upgraded XEmacs from 19 to 20. When I try to start it, it returns XEmacs: `getwd' failed: errno 0 The point is that it can only be started from root directory. I've read in getwd(3), that this can happen if the buffer is too small. What can I do? jenne -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . strange symlinks
After installing kernel-2.0.32 I've got two symlinks /usr/src/linux - kernel-headers-2.0.32 /usr/src/linux-2.0.32 - kernel-headers-2.0.32 and in /usr/include: linux - /usr/src/linux-2.0.32/include/linux asm - /usr/src/linux-2.0.32/include/asm The problem is that in /usr/include/linux there are only very few files, and /usr/include/asm is empty! So several headers were not able to find their files. These are in /usr/src/kernel-source-2.0.32... Is it save to make the symlinks point to /usr/src/linux - kernel-source-2.0.32 /usr/src/linux-2.0.32 - kernel-source-2.0.32 ? jenne -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
