Hi,

If you are running X then read the manual-pages of your X-serrver.
I'm using the S3-Server and it works. I need a option-line in my XF86Config
file. See:

Section Device
Identifier robicard
VendorName elsa
BoardName winner1000triov
Option power_saver
#VideoRam2048
# Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection

Mail and News with UUCP over TCP/IP

1997-02-24 Thread Stefan Walder
Hi,

I want to use my Linux-Box at home to get mail and news. I'm using my Uni-ISP
and i want to have several Email-Adresses (my family). And I don't want to use
POP, I think uucp is nicer! So I want to use uucp over TCP/IP!
Now my questions:

1.) Can I use the email-address [EMAIL PROTECTED]

2.) What does I need to get and post news? I think I need suck, but is this
  sufficient?

Thanks

 Hallo,

I have a dialup-connection (ppp) to an ISP. I developed a problem this

The problem is that mail in the queue are not sent automatically when the
connection with the ISP is estblished.

After then PPP-Line is established run the runq command. It is a link of smail
an smail now will try to deliver the mail to the net. I've pushed the runq
command in the /etc/ppp/ip-ip file.

Hi,

install the magicfilter-paket. It will configure a printcap-file for you. If
the Hp-printer doesn't speak postscript you also have to install the
lprng-paket. It can filter files to remote hosts or printers. Now you can
configure bootp or use the panel at the printer and configure the ip-number
and so on. I have mad it on a hp 4m/plus.
