Thank Greg Wooledge! it's solved with your help i reboot to enter bios, it use UTC then i change 3rd line of /etc/adjtime to UTC, reboot to take effect, time is shown correctly now i am timezone 0800, 8 hours ahead of GMT both /etc/localtime points to same place

strange time problem with bullseye
my newly-installed deb11 for amd64 shows wrong time, it lags behind correct time by 8 hours though difference between universal and local is ok. i am normal user, i install only from main of deb11 plus wifi adapter firmware, though i don't install security update. i don't know where i can go wrong but my deb11 for i386 on same machine shows correct time. i installed it long time ago wifi connection is good, i suppose both correct time with server automatically

i have 2 pc, using same speaker, both running aumix for bookworm pc1 has 2 controls for loudness, Vol=90 and Pcm=46 pc2 has 1 control for loudness, how to set it so that loudness is same as pc1?

why bookworm isn't called deb12?
it seems natural to me to use deb12 for debian 12 deb for debian as in file name extension of package it follows Windows naming style: win7, win8 ... but others don't think so, i google with deb12, few means debian in past 20 years few call it debN (N=1,2,3...) why few are interested in saving 4 characters (ian )?

Thank David, 3 devices are plugged to usb hub: wifi adapter, receiver for wireless keyboard/mouse and usb lamp for power only. i don't have energy to troubleshoot it as it's ok with buster and bullseye, problem is with deb12, not with my usb device it's not too bad that newly stable deb12 isn't ready for me as deb10/11 meet my needs

i have tried bookworm,noticed many improvements today it becomes unresponsive when i transfer files to cell phone with go-mtpfs it doesn't respond to my keystroke, i can't see any error msg, disk LED in front panel of pc case shows busy, after about 5 minutes i disconnect power cord i boot it again, last lines of journalctl shows phone connection thru usb, no error msg

i use bullseye for i386 with twm. many years ago i used login from X Window, that is, graphics interface, not terminal interface. how to start login in bullseye's X?

Thank bw! internet search also shows that live is password, but it's not correct i have rebooted, probably something like this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principle_of_least_privilege . i think they disclaim all responsibilities, they can use empty password, as some other distro do

does your Thunderbird for deb11 often become unresponsive?
at first i suspect Thunderbird(TB) try to access some sites that are blocked in china i disable show Start Page when it launches i disable check email automatically for each account but it becomes unresponsive when i File->New->Message i really don't know cause of unresponsiveness PS: even if blocked sites cause trouble, it's bug of TB, it shall timeout after it can't access sites for some time
