bumblebee fails to disable discrete graphics card after upgrade nvidia driver to 430.40-2

2019-09-05 Thread wglxy
I upgrade my debian testing yesterday. The nvidia-driver and other nvidia
packages were upgraded to 430.40-2. Then I found that bumblebee fails to
disable discrete graphics card. We can not run opengl software with command
"optirun", and when I run command "lspci -nn | grep VGA", I got:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:3e94]
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation GP107GLM [Quadro
P2000 Mobile] [10de:1cba] (rev al)

It seem that the nvidia video card can not be disabled.

When I run opengl program with optirun or primusrun, the program can not run
and I got a error message as below:

$ optirun freecad
[ 614.056579] [ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU - error: [XORG] (EE) Failed
to load module "mouse" (module does not exist, 0)

[ 614.056596] [ERROR]Aborting because fallback start is disabled.

$ primusrun freecad
/usr/bin/primusrun: line 41: warning: command substitution: ignored null byte
in input
primus: fatal: Bumblebee daemon reported: error: [XORG] (EE) Failed to load
module "mouse" (module does not exist, 0)

My laptop is Thinkpad P1. How do I resolve this error?

Thank you very much!

Does not Debian support mobile broadband anymore?

2017-11-22 Thread wglxy
Hi, everyone,

Since my Debian testing was upgraded on Oct 29, the mobile broadband in my
laptop could not be used. The mobile broadband is missing in the
network-manager UI, and wvdialconf can not configure the broadband either. The
message of wvdialconf is as below,

**
Editing `/etc/wvdial.conf'.

Scanning your serial ports for a modem.

ttyS0<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 9600 baud, next try: 115200 baud
ttyS0<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- and failed too at 115200, giving up.

Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program?
Did you configure it properly with setserial?

Please read the FAQ at http://alumnit.ca/wiki/?WvDial

My laptop is Thinkpad X1 Carbon 5th, and its mobile broadband device is Sierra
Wireless EM7455. This function works fine before the upgrading.

Does not Debian support mobile broadband anymore? Or who known how to resolve
this problem? Thank you very much!

Bluetooth mouse disconnect while laptop runs with cell

2017-09-26 Thread wglxy
Hi, everyone!

I use my laptop (Thinkpad X1 Carbon 5th) with a bluetooth mouse. The mouse work
fine while the laptop runs with AC power supply. But The bluetooth mouse is a
trouble while the laptop runs with the embed cell. The mouse will disconnect if
it is not be used after several seconds. So I want use the mouse, it must
reconnect to the laptop and spend several seconds. it is very inconvenient!

I think the reason is the function of bluetooth power save while the cell is
used. So I want to turn off the function of bluetooth power save, but I can not
find where to define it. Would you please tell me how to turn off the function
of bluetooth power save?

My Debian version is the buster, and it is upgraded everyday.
