Logitech TrackMan CD Changer
Hello all. Does anyone have any experience with using the TrackMan+ or TrackManFX with hamm? I'm thinking about buying one but part of my decision will be based on it's compatability. Also, I asked this before around the time the list was down. I have an NEC 251 4 disc changer as my secondary slave (hdd). What I need to know is how are the indiviual drives identified so that I can add then to fstab. I can't seem to get any of them to work. Should they be hdd1, hdd2, etc. or some other sequence? Hi, Does anyone have any experience with using the TrackMan+ or TrackManFX with hamm? I'm thinking about buying one but part of my decision will be based on it's compatability. I have a TrackMan Marble and it works just fine. Assuming that there isn't anything different with the connectors (PS/2 right?) then there should be no reason why the others wouldn't work. Just make sure you have the psaux kernel module installed and that you select /dev/psaux as your X mouse device. You may also have to choose a generic PS/2 mouse protocol when you run XF86Setup, for example. -Ossama

Mounting CD Changer
I have an NEC C251 4 disc changer connected to my secondary slave controller. I can mount the drive as /dev/hdd and access the first drive but how can I mount or change to the other 3 drives? Also, when I attempt to mount the floppy drive as /dev/fd0 I get I/O errors? What could I be doing wrong? TIA Cristov Russell [EMAIL PROTECTED] PS - Please send replies to [EMAIL PROTECTED] as I have not received any digest for 2 days and am unsure if the problem is with the mailserver. _ DO YOU YAHOO!? Re: NEC 4 cd changer
Perhaps the eject package (from misc), or its documantation, can help ? The following is from its description: On supported ATAPI/IDE multi-disc CD-ROM changers, it allows changing the active disc Can someone point me towards docs on how cd changers function under 2.0.x kernels. This merely adds a function to switch between the slots of the changer under control of an external program. A sample such program is appended to the end of this file. CD Changer
Hi, Has anyone out there had any experience using an IDE CD-Changer with Debian? How does it tell which disk it's supposed to hit (something like /dev/hdc1...7 ???) responses requested from anyone who's done this. I don't have a drive yet, but am considering purchasing one. Thanks, Rob -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word unsubscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
