You might want to look at :

which list the available books about Debian.

Also, from what I've heard, Learning Debian/GNU Linux
seems to be quite good :

I am a bit unsure of what you use to access your floppy drive from
the Desktop. To access a floppy drive, you probably need to mount it
first with fdmount or xvmount.

and mount /dev/fd0 /a directory name goes here (but without the quotes) 
works for me.

(actually, i've created /bt just for mounting purposes.  so, whenever i need a 
place to mount something (floppy, cdrom, c:\), i do it there.  (mount /dev/fd0 
/bt)  of course, when done, remember to unmount.  (for me, it's unmount
/bt).)
