So true.

In fact, thats what I really like about mailing lists and the like:
Race, gender, age, status do not matter; Camaleón is a woman?
Even if she were a 104 year old tibetan monk I couldn't care less
as long as it is not relevant for the topic at hand.

This whole thread feels strangely off ...

Mhh, why exactly am I writing this?

There is already a Linux Chicks mailing list, if it hasn't died from misuse.
I didn't like it because I have been fighting throughout my now long life to
be allowed just to be a person. What on earth has gender got to do with it??
Why does the fact that females are female need commenting on?

We are PEOPLE for goodness sake.

Maybe we ought to start a "Linux Chicks" site to dispel some of the
preconceptions (and chauvinism)!? I don't have the expertise you have,
Camaleón, but am not exactly a n00bie either. Been Linuxing for about 6 years
and will never go back.

Don't worry.

I've been in mailing lists time enough to know how to deal with all kind
of people, their reactions and also had to learn to read between lines...
And while reading your comments -not just "yours" but all of you- I've
been ROFL (+1 to briand for compare me with a Turing machine, that was
funny X-) ).

What still amazes me is that people is surprised to see women
participating in these mailing lists (in particular) and in FLOSS (in
general).

Greetings,

Ok everyone,

Let's not derail too far. Still remember OP question? it was "Squeeze:
How to hide certain partitions in Nautilus".

Sorry Camaleón to have dragged you into this mess. My intention was good
-- showing that how woman can also do admiringly well.

And I believe wolf python london meant the same as well, and so does
Nicolas Bercher and briand.

Also I believe that everyone who had received help from Camaleón will
feel the same, especially when they realized Camaleón is actually a woman.

So, let's not derail too far, and let's not respond to those who does.

This has long been a separate thread and I see you've started another one.

Have fun,

Paul
