RE:X11: HELP for ATI 3DChar 4MB RageIIC AGP

2000-03-20 Thread M. Jagos
Hi,

I read the amount of recommendations about "how to run ATI 3D RAGE II
properly", but noone has the effect. X server is not able to start X,
and if I shutdown it by pressing "Ctrl + Alt + BckSpc" there is
following message:

mach64ProgramClkMach64CT: Warning Q < 10.6667

Please, could anybody give me any hint ?

Thanks
Mirek.

Thank you fpr your reply! We've found the PCI-versions of the VGA card
ATI Mach64 GT (Rage II) (rev. 154),"ATI 3D-Charger 2MB" in the most
of the other of 12 PCs, which run fine. Just the AGP version
doesn't, but we can live with it.

 Thank you again,
  Andreas Wehler

Hi.

For an ATI Mach64 3D RAGE II C, I use:

ChipId 0x4755

and it seems to work, more or less.
I found this in the XFree86 FAQ.

Hope this helps.

Hello j?rg:

I believe #27 or 28 in xf86config should meet your requirements.

X11: HELP for ATI 3DChar 4MB RageIIC AGP

1998-10-09 Thread jörg bode
Who can tell us please any applicable XF86-settings
for this Card (7'1998)? The best result we could get was 2 or
more time repeated windows. The README.Mach64 file was
helpful, but not to the end.

  ChipID: 0x475a (not recognized)
  Chip Revision: 58 (??!)

Is there any one out there who has this card up and
running?

 thanks.
Joerg Bode.
