Have a look at

http://home.clear.net.nz/pages/c.evans/scriptintro.html

which has a link to LaTeX source for a few slides.

  Larry froze. Was the bag a trap?
  He could see the way in, but the other end appeared to be sealed.

Can you be a bit more specific about the problems that you
encountered?

I recommend the package seminar to make overhead slides with
LaTeX.

 I'm about to go on holidays so I won't be able to help you much, but
 I'll just say a couple of things quickly:

 Use:
 \documentclass{slides}

also, LyX has done a nice job on this class, making it trivially
easy. I know that there was also just an evolutionary change, but I
don't know if this went into 1.0pre6, or just 1.1 . . .

I'm about to go on holidays so I won't be able to help you much, but
I'll just say a couple of things quickly:

Use:
\documentclass{slides}

Each slide is produced using a

\begin{slide}

  ...
  stuff
  ...

\end{slide}

kind of arrangement.

I hope that is enough to get you started.

Cheers,

Mark.
