Trouble-shooting is both an art and a science. Given some undesirable issue (CD drive does not work), one approach is to start at the top (system of hardware and software), and work towards the bottom (transistors, plastic, steel, machine code, etc.); testing each level as you go. Hopefully, at some point you find one or more components with defects (to whatever degree of certainty you find acceptable). When you repair or replace the components, the system works correctly. when there is already a button HP 600? "HP 600" is ambiguous. Please provide a URL to the HP WWW support page. David

Reboot the computer and press the appropriate key to enter the computer motherboard firmware (BIOS/UEFI) CMOS Setup program. Navigate the user interface to find a screen that lists installed drives.
