Problem with gdm auth
Hi i configured an ldap server on debian squeeze and a client ubuntu 10.04. Trying to login from login screen of the client using ldap user credentials it doesn't accept it. Trying from a shell with the command su - nslcd_proc it runs. A similar situation is described here: FC11 GDM can't authenticate users from LDAP https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=505319 That's for Redhat but you can read the comments to get an idea on what can be going on at your Debian box.
