I know nothing about CUPS or this specific bug, but if you want to
experiment with downgrading to a previous version of the package,
you can find those at .

It would have been preferable to have opened a new bug report. The
version of printer-driver-gutenprint in #748761 was indeed lacking
rastertogutenprint.5.2, as acknowledged in the report. The file is
available on your system, so the issuue is distinctly different.

Possession of this printer is not required.

1. /usr/sbin/lpinfo -m | grep 1100

2. /usr/lib/cups/driver/gutenprint.5.2 cat gutenprint.5.2://hp-lj_1100/expert > 
1100.ppd

3. /usr/sbin/cupsfilter -p 1100.ppd -m printer/foo -e /etc/services > data 2>log

I'm afraid that I only remember things while I am getting it to work so 
it could be driver from HP.

This is in the current Debian 9.

For 5.2.10~pre2-2 I'd have to hunt for it precompiled or hunt for the 
specific source and compile it.  Either approach could easily soak up 
several hours.  Will keep in mind but can't tackle it immediately.
