If so, that's new, and I'll have to dig through my preferences. For several years the TB developers have been saying that they have no intentions of making notifications work for movemail, since they don't think anyone uses it except for a few dinosaurs who should switch to IMAP or POP mail, anyway. -- Michael A. Movemail accounts worked fine for me with Mozilla, but I never used thunderbird or icedove long enough to know if that feature has been preserved properly. Then you don't read the mail file directly but configure Icedove to get mail from your local pop3 server. Ie: popa3d, teapop, etc -- Kind regards, Michal R.
