Thank you and regards. It is indeed; especially if the X interface is going to be just *another* interface. It would be a great loss if the curses / text interface disapperared or was not as good as the X one. I must admit that I quite liked the potato curses installer much more than the Redhat ones. It was very simple yet at the same time powerful esp if it had the 2.4 kernel. It would be good to start everyone off with a choice of installer interface to get them used to the range of choices available with most other pieces of software in linux. (Some progress has been made on the gtk installer, although I'm not sure if it's entirely functional yet.) Does anybody if the installer that is used for the 'testing netinstall' images is a sign of things to come.If so I would like to know where I can go and whine about it. Klaus -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I'm not sure about how the testing netinstall relates to d-i; you should hang out on debian-boot for a while if you want to help with the installer (testing the installer and providing feedback counts as help). -- Nathan Norman - Incanus Networking mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Whenever men attempt to suppress argument and free speech, we may be sure that they know their cause to be a bad one. -- R.
