Re: URGENT advice needed!
Glide technology seems to be going the way of the Dinosaur and once graphic game makers learn how to program the awesome new nvidia Riva TNT chipset cards, no one will want Voodoo2.. GLide as I read it, was made so that games could be ported easily to all kinds of platforms, ie from the PC to MAC or vice versa.. I have not seen any decent games ported to the Mac except Quake and a few other boring knockoffs.. ATI hooted and hollered about making 50 games come out for their cards and everytime I buy a new piece of hardware, I never see anything for them, of course I like many others had problems with the ATI card not working and returned it to the store, later getting a TechWorks 3DFX Voodoo 1 card which has unfortunately collected dust inside my machine, since no good games were ever ported or released on the Mac, then again a lot of the game companies lately have went bankrupt, and if Fox hasnt bought them out and released the games under their company name, only thing Ive seen so far for Mac anyway is a game from the Simtower folks called Yoot, which to me looks the same as the game with the hotel you ran SimTower, and oddly enough its only coming out on the Macintosh first, then will be ported over to the PC... All I want is to use the machine under Linux as well as under M$. The 3D card is just for the kids. I think I read somewhere XFree 3.3.3 works with TNT chips.
