where can i get a converter, that takes ascii (text written in vi) and
gives tiff (for sending as fax)?
I never use efix directly. Use fax - a front end script to efix and
efax. If you want to send an ascii-file as a fax, why don't you just do
fax make ascii.txt
and you will get
ascii.txt.001
ascii.txt.002 ...
ready to send as a fax.
I did not try the following because I normally send .ps-files as faxes but
fax send fax number ascii.txt
should also work.
