The problem is solved by renaming /usr/bin/mpd , restart the
computer and then update.

(I found no other way of stopping mpd)

This part remains unsolved:

systemd can not stop mpd.
Shutting down the computer takes one and a half minute.

This seems to be a fault in systemd.
