Also, noticed after switching back to the stable release of iceweasel that I had to put Firefox version 32 in the user agent to get www.yahoo.com to work again. Hard to believe yahoo only supports the latest version of firefox under linux, but that seems to be the case for me. Maybe, it's autodetecting and thinks it's running on a mobile device. I fired up Jessie in Virtualbox. I hadn't run it in several weeks. And the last time I did yahoo displayed correctly. Loaded www.yahoo.com in iceweasel and it gave me the mobile page. So, it's not a setting in iceweasel or a cookie, etc. from previously. I completely purged iceweasel, its configs as well as mozilla's, etc., etc. Reinstalled, etc. Still no joy. I think Yahoo's server sees Linux and thinks it must be a mobile device and switches automatically to improve your Yahoo experience. Right. Big improvement. Well, maybe. I don't use Yahoo anymore. Beginning to like not using it. ;-) What I'd really like to know is why ONLY iceweasel and firefox are affected. Google-Chrome isn't. Probably not Opera, but I haven't checked. I never log in to www.yahoo.com. Never have. And do not want to. I access my yahoo mail accounts with Claws (IMAP). I purged everything iceweasel/mozilla off my system and reinstalled. Even imported Chrome's setting and bookmarks. Had no effect. I can only think the problem is on Yahoo's end not mine. Like I said in another post, this has happen before, lots of times over the years with Firefox. One of the reasons I abandoned it.
