I'd say those messages come from kernel, so running the command I said
before (dpkg -l | grep linux-image) should be enough to fill the bug
report :-)

 What's the involved device?

 lspci | grep 01.00

Are you facing any visible problem in addition to the message?

BTW, it seems there was an Ubuntu bug for this and per comment #24
these dmesg messages seem to be harmless:

 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/413419

 # lspci | grep 01.00
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Mobility Radeon
 HD 3400 Series

No more noticeable problem. The message ...no parent found... can be
found in kern.log and actually appears after starting Debian from Grub
 menu

If you see no other problem, then I wouldn't bother. Most sure those
messages will go away after a kernel update.

But if you still feel worry about this, you can open a bug report in
Debian against your kernel package (dpkg -l | grep linux-image will
tell), just to discard any problem with your installation or setup.
