potato LateX error

2000-10-11 Thread Johann Spies
Compiling a file (which I used with Slink's Tetex had no problems)
produces an error code:

Loading the definitions for the Greek font encoding
(/usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/babel/lgrenc.def)
! Undefined control sequence.
\GenericError ...
#4 \errhelp[EMAIL PROTECTED]@ ...
l.213 [EMAIL PROTECTED]@char{^^9f}

I have checked with other babel .def's the same line appears in most
of them.

Is there a workaround?

Johann.

I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto
me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an
horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet
upon a rock, and established my goings.

No idea. You might want to try tetex@informatik.uni-hannover.de and ask if
they know about it. If it's a bug, I'd definitely want it fixed. I use LaTeX
quite a bit.
