which 2g/3g wireless (USB) cards are supported by kernel 2.6.18-6

2010-06-06 Thread Long Wind
I use etch, which use kernel 2.6.18-6
I want to buy a 2g/3g wireless (USB) card that's supported by the kernel
which brand/model should I buy?
where can I find such info?
Ideally the card shouldn't require me to download/compile source code.
Thanks!

Uhm, I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you mean with 2g/3g.
Would that be GSM 3G (UMTS) or 802.11g? If it's the latter, take a look
at these two links:

http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers

http://backtrack.offensive-security.com/index.php?title=HCL:Wireless

If you get a supported card, you won't have to compile any source code
or download anything, it will work out-of-the-box.
