Estuve revisando el directorio /etc/apt, y cambió mucho desde la última vez que lo vi, supongo que es lo malo de nunca reformatear porque el sistema anda bien; encontré un /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ y dentro de ese directorio había un google-earth.list que tenía: ### THIS FILE IS AUTOMATICALLY CONFIGURED ### # You may comment out this entry, but any other modifications may be lost. deb http://dl.google.com/linux/earth/deb/ stable main Nunca hay que perder de vista a ese directorio (/etc/apt/sources.list.d) ya que no solo es google quien escribe en el. Google toma cada día más poder y controla prácticamente cada una de las aplicaciones que "la gente" utiliza en Internet: buscador Google, correo Gmail, vídeo Youtube, fotografías Picassa, blogs Blogspot, mapas Google maps/Earth, red social Google+, sistema operativo Chrome, google docs, google webmasters, google news, google translator. Y todo esto sin contar Android (que es mucho como para no contarlo). Toda esta información, indexada y cruzada entre todos los servicios, más una cámara y un GPS en el bolsillo de cada persona... creo que 1984 no es ninguna exageración, al contrario la profecía acertada de un genio sólo equivocado en un par de décadas. Revisa en /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ es común que Google añada sus repos sin consultar, comenta las lineas si no quieres usarlos.
