Heimir, Yes, that is a known issue of that version. Also, in case you have not noticed MAILFROM is also broken in that version. You need to upgrade to a later version. 3.0.5.9 is the release where it is fixed. Darrell Check out http://www.invariantsystems.com for utilities for Declude And Imail. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] country filter question
Is it OK to put comments in the country TXT filter file? Such as adding the name of the country at the end? For instamce: COUNTRIES 0 CONTAINSSE sweden ('cause i may forget what some of the codes represent.) No. Otherwise, Declude JunkMail will look for "SE sweden" in the list of countries that the E-mail passed through. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Country filter?
I know this was covered some time ago but I can't get into the archives. How do I set up the country filter? Like any other filter test, referring to a text file with country codes? You'll need to wait for the archives to be available again for this one. It is very complex, as it involves the geolocation (converting IPs into countries), which requires a separate file. -Scott --- Declude JunkMail: The advanced anti-spam solution for IMail mailservers. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] country filter
Plese help with setting the country filtering. Is it just adding: COUNTRIES contains5 kr COUNTRIES contains5 br to GLOBAL.CFG - one line per country extension? "COUNTRY" and "COUNTRIES" in Declude JunkMail are used as filters, so you would need to set up your own filter before you could use them. You would then place the "COUNTRIES contains..." lines in the filter file. Do I need to add COUNTRIES WARN to the $default$.junkmail file? Assuming that you name your test "COUNTRIES" (which probably isn't a good idea, as it will likely cause some confusion), you would need such a line in the $default$.JunkMail file (assuming that you wanted to use the WARN action on E-mail from those countries). What else? please advise All of the IP->country features also require the all_list.dat file (from http://www.declude.com/release/165/all_list.dat ), which needs to be located in the \IMail\Declude directory. -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Country "Filter" Declude JunkMail v1.62(beta)
Is this a "filter" like the "word" filter? In JM Pro Yes, it is part of the filtering in Declude JunkMail Pro. - Global Config - COUNTRY filter X:\IMail\Declude\countryfile.txtx 0 0 - countryfile.txt - COUNTRY 5 CONTAINScn COUNTRY 5 CONTAINSkr COUNTRY 5 CONTAINSbr And I assume we need to add COUNTRY WARN To the $default$.junkmail file Or am I completely off base here ? That is correct. These can also be used in any existing filter file, if you so choose. -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Country filter usage Reply!
> Tom - I'm curious about this country code file. I filter allot > of these in the local mail application and it would be nice if > junk mail would just delete these when they come through, It would be, but we can't do that, unless we can confirm it's junk mail. > My question is this. Do I just copy this example in to my > junkmail global.cfg file? and where do I insert it. No, you would have to create a file called country.txt with the country contents (you can use whatever file name you wish within the limitations of the OS) then enter the following information into these files: Global.cfg --- CFILTER filter x:\imail\declude\country.txtx 4 0 --- "You must use your own judgment for the weight value." That is, if you are using a weighing system, which we strongly would advise you to do along with monitoring the effects of your decisions in handling junk mail before you decide to DELETE. $default$.junkmail --- CFILTER WARN --- "You must choose your own method of destruction." That is, what do you want Declude to do with it.
