Is this the permanent link for the release notes?
Yes.

Currently it is pointing at the 1.78 notes. Are there notes for 1.79?
They will be back up soon.

Re: [Declude.JunkMail] ALERT BOUNCE

2004-04-17 Thread R. Scott Perry

I'm having trouble getting ALERT and BOUNCE to work on 1.79 beta. Are
there any known issues? In both cases nothing gets sent back and the
email gets delivered normally.
The ALERT action should work as-is (although now that you mention it, it
probably should be changed like the BOUNCE action).

The BOUNCE action was renamed (see http://www.declude.com/relnotes.htm for
the new name), because it was being misused too often, and causing our
customers to appear as spammers. If you wish to continue using it, you
should read the information on it in the manual first. It is rarely
appropriate to use the BOUNCE action (although there are some cases where
it may make sense).

RE: [Declude.JunkMail] ALERT BOUNCE

2004-04-17 Thread Robert Shubert
Thanks. ALERT did actually do its job, it just took a while to get the
message back. And I see the new name for bounce. I'm hoping to use
either action in a narrow weight range (10-14) since this is where most
of my false-positives end up.

Re: [Declude.JunkMail] ALERT BOUNCE

2004-04-17 Thread Matt

Please don't bounce your spam. Keep in mind that you might very well
be bouncing a majority of messages back to forged addresses. So in
effect by you lightening your load by using BOUNCEONLYIFYOUMUST, you
are creating problems for other administrators and that isn't very fair
to us.
