[Declude.Virus] Efficiency
Scott, During the initial setup of Declude Virus we copied down the virus_domain.txt and the virus_users.txt file and placed them in the Declude directory. Since then, by default, we are scanning all incoming/outgoing email for all domains. Is it more efficient (hence faster scans) for Declude to have those files there are not have them there or does it really make no difference, since we are scanning all domains and all users. Thanks for the aid. áÁj)pjËjyÞuú+¾*î±ëÈ7ç^V*î²m§ÿðÃ^r[yÊN¬f¢Æ¦yúèØ^ ç%¹×»¬¨¥x%ËS¢éì¹»®Þë-±éÝjqj)m¢)[+½×ç^rÛr¥ë§²æìr¸x7ç^V*î±8^j·!÷¬q©Ûyú.ÖÛiÿü0Âf¢ªÜ+Þr

Thanks for the aid. It would be slightly faster to not have the files there, but the performance difference most likely would not be noticeable. -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.Virus mailing list. [Declude.Virus] CR Vulnerability Panic
My small school mail server is receiving a TON of email with this message: Declude Virus v1.53 caught the [Outlook 'CR' Vulnerability] virus in [No attachment] from [EMAIL PROTECTED] to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: 12/22/2002 20:08:11 Subject: MESSAGE NOT RECEIVED Spool File: D61f91e30013ed9ae.SMD Remote IP: 207.158.192.229 Headers: [Deleted due to dangerous content] I've received well over 2,000 messages since 8am this morning. Re: [Declude.Virus] CR Vulnerability Panic
I could be wrong but I think there has been updates since 1.53 that addresses this issue. If so visit the declude.com site.. I can't remember the download link from here... ~Rick - Original Message - From: Nyla Wiebe [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, December 22, 2002 7:19 PM - SATCOM Subject: [Declude.Virus] CR Vulnerability Panic My small school mail server is receiving a TON of email with this message: Declude Virus v1.53 caught the [Outlook 'CR' Vulnerability] virus in [No attachment] from [EMAIL PROTECTED] to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: 12/22/2002 20:08:11 Subject: MESSAGE NOT RECEIVED Spool File: D61f91e30013ed9ae.SMD Remote IP: 207.158.192.229 Headers: [Deleted due to dangerous content] I've received well over 2,000 messages since 8am this morning.
