[DUG] Interpreting HL7

2007-12-12 Thread Rohit Gupta
I have to interpret HL7 packets and merge them into our database. Has
anyone any experience with them or can they recommend a translation
component. Not that its difficult to write one, but why reinvent the
wheel ? I did google it and the market is mad $5000 US plus yearly fees :-)

Hmmm. HL7 is pretty extensive.

Have a look at www.interfaceware.com

RE: [DUG] Interpreting HL7

2007-12-12 Thread Jeremy Coulter
We work with HL7 every day at work, since we are a health organization, and
we pretty much had to write our own since HL7 a standard for transmitting
data, but the makeup of the data IN the HL7 files can be different.
In saying that, I have seen that under the indy misc (if you have indy
installed) has an HL7 component, but never used it.
