[Bug 31644] Icons poorly clipped
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31644 Comment: It seems that the icon being used is /usr/share/pixmaps/nautilus.xpm, which is 32x23 (and looks dreadful anyway). I think icons are supposed to be 48x48 for the splash screen, aren't they? /usr/share/pixmaps/nautilus/nautilus-launch-icon.png seems better, although the nautilus shell icon isn't really needed at all (just the file browser icon, if anything). -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 31331] [Dapper] Partitions mounted with option user are no longer shown on desktop
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31331 Comment: I'm sorry but I have to add another strange result after restarting the system as opposed to only restarting dbus. After I change /system/storage/display_internal_hard_drives from false to true and a restart of dbus, I see only partitions mounted with the option user or mounted under /media as a icon in places. The partitons are named after their mountingpoints. This is exactly the same result as in breezy. When I restart my system with display_internal_hard_drives set to true right from the start, I get different results. All mounted partitions are shown in places/on the desk etc. They are also labelled differently, e.g. 'Harddisk 3,6GB'. So my real question is: Can I still selectively show only some mounted partitions as a toplevel item, i.e. an extra icon on the desk or under places or in nautilus tree view in dapper. This was possible up until breezy. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 31764] Changing the icon for a folder makes the new icon show in nautilus but not under Places in the panel.
Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31764 Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: I have an ext3 partition mounted on /media/disk. I, knowingly about risks concering security etc, changed so that the user ( I am the only one on this system) owns the files and even the folder it self. I later on changed the icon for the folder /media/disk to look like a harddrive so that my bookmark for the drive in nautilus should looke more like a drive than a normal folder (which seems to me the way it should be). If I open /media/ in nautilus I can see the new icon but in Places in the panelthe old folder icon is there. If I open the bookmarks in nautilus, the drive-icon is there. For me this is a bug since the icons should be the same all over. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 31680] Time format (12/24 hour) not adjustable
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31680 Comment: Sorry, just realized that comment 11 of http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145549 says: I've also removed this option from gdmsetup, because Simplicity(tm) is good for you. :-) So it is only available with $EDITOR configfile. Rationale: I think that only rarely users want to set this. [Bug 20592] Multiple sounds when clicking buttons
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/20592 Comment: This can be reproduced with gnome-font-properties by clicking any radio button in the main window or any radio button in the Font Rendering Details window. Multiple sounds can also be heard when opening the window to edit the current profile in gnome-terminal by clicking Edit Current Profile... in the context menu or by clicking Current Profile... under the Edit menu. Nautilus will also reproduce it when clicking on the Back, Forward, or Up buttons to navigate the filesystem. Also, clicking on the navigation buttons directly under the toolbar reproduces it as well. gnome-default-applications-properties will reproduce the bug when clicking any of the dropdown lists or radio buttons on either the Internet or System tab. gnome-network-preferences will reproduce the bug when clicking any radio buttons on the Proxy Configuration tab. It is reproduced in epiphany when clicking on any of the radio buttons that change the cookie settings in the Preferences window. [Bug 31771] gimp freezes, crashes on open, save as, print
Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31771 Affects: gimp (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: gimp freezes, using 80% CPU, when a user attempts Open, Save As, or Print. Must kill process. gimp 2.2.2-1ubuntu libgnomevfs2-0 2.10.0-0ubuntu55 libgtk2.0-0 2.6.4-0ubuntu5 libgnomeui-02.10.0-0ubuntu1 Ubuntu (hoary) I know this is reported in several similar bugs, but here's some additional info. On our systems, this behavior happens for ldap user accounts (libnss-ldap, libpam-ldap). It _does_not_ happen for local accounts in /etc/passwd. Workaround If the ldap user has a local account entry in /etc/passwd, this bug disappears and gimp works fine.
