Re: [Bug 118605] Re: Feisty freezes upon Logout or Switch user
I have a ATI Radeon 9600, more specifically: pci.product: RV350 AR [Radeon 9600] pci.subsys_product: Sapphire Radeon 9600XT ...based on Device Manager info. Driver: I am using the Restricted driver, enabled in Restricted drivers manager. Kernel: due to the problems with -16 kernel, I am using the -15 version at the moment. Some time ago I ran also the Ubuntu Hardware Database, but something failed. My subscription ID is ed63ead2ead8903609e6a17361e1cc5f, however http://hwdb.ubuntu.com/ reports some kind of error. Now I cannot re-run the detection [and possibly attempt to upload data again], all the UHD allows is viewing the ID. If you need more info, please ask. Matthias: I don't think your problem is related to this bug report -- this one is about distinguishing what volume a particular directory resides on and returning the appropriate free space. [Bug 120214] Faulty reporting of free space with Sony Ericsson z710
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-vfs-obexftp I have tried both 0.2 and 0.3 with my SonyEriksson z710. Both versions report 0 bytes free space, so I can't copy anyting to the phone. I tried 0.2 with my old phone K610 and that worked, but that phone didn't have a memory card. Just to be sure I tested again and restarted everyting (including phone, nautilus, bluez, gnome-vfs-daemon) and still not working. The phone is paired, and I can access the phone and browse the content, copy from the phone to the desktop but not to the phone. I don't know if it helps, but it seems that there are no mem-type specified on this phone obexftp --bluetooth 00:16:B8:75:7F:34 --list Browsing 00:16:B8:75:7F:34 ... Your one sounds more like faulty reporting of free space. I've heard of a few other people having trouble with Sony phones, but don't have the hardware to debug it. If you would like to help me debug the problem, I suggest opening a new bug report. I've got a few commands you could run to collect data that would be useful in tracking down the problems. [Bug 120220] Connect to server have minimal dialogues - Needs to communicate more
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus After entering the correct information in Places Connect to Server... and clicking Connect, there is no notification of what Connect to Server is doing. This appears in Dapper (6.06.1), Edgy (6.10), Feisty (7.04) and Gusty (7.10) [2007-06-13] - 4.10, 5.04 and 5.10 not tested. * If I enter in a domain that is incorrect or times-out, nothing appears as a dialogue - an icon does - sometimes - appear on the desktop * If I have conflicting .ssh/known_hosts keys, no dialogue appears to tell me that there is a problem. Both of these problems have the correct error output when using ssh [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Most users aren't aware of how to use the terminal and therefore can't figure out what is wrong with their connection. How to repeat: 1) Enter in an incorrect domain, user, port for ssh in 'Connect to Server', then click 'Connect' - nothing appears as the cause of the problem BUT an icon appears on the desktop - not helpful 2) Connect to a second computer using ssh (on the command-line or otherwise). Disconnect and then write new rsa/dsa keys and then connect again. If you use Connect to Server... which reads the file .ssh/known_hosts, Connect to Server... will not tell you that there are conflicting keys in that file. Connect to Server... should offer a solution by deleting that entry in the file, or deleting the file altogether. At a minimum, a dialogue should appear to make the user aware there is a problem. I have even had a problem on my recently upgrade Feisty (7.04) machine that when I try Connect to Server, nothing appears in dialogue format (of course), but also no icon appears on the desktop. killall nautilus doesn't fix the problem, but a reboot does. This is when I am greeted with multiple versions of a shortcut to my server that I entered. (ie: server, server (1), server (2), etc.) I'm not sure what files are involved in this bug, but I am willing and still able to post any files that you request.
