[Bug 145469] Cannot modify task percentages from clock applet
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel I am experiencing behavior similar to that reported in Bug # 10908. I am unable to change the progress percentage of tasks from the clock applet dropdown. If I double click on the percentage, the field changes and appears to become editable, but any keypresses are transmitted to the window below. See the Bug # 10908 for a screenshot identical to the behavior i am seeing. I explained things a little more in detail previously in this post so I won't go into more detail again here. You can check my previous posts starting at comment 8 going through comment 12. It has, but very rarely and with no consistency that I've noticed, locked up the computer before to where I had to do a hard reboot. When it needs a reboot, maybe you can still ssh in and kill some of the programs on the VT thant is active and then ,aybe it will suddenly switch? [Bug 145489] X-server doesn't start every time I end a session and I log in again with a new user
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel The problem reported in Summary happens to me both on two different machines: a PIV based computer and on asus notebook with an intel centrino processor and an ATI X700 Mobility Raedon graphics device (I don't remember the graphics device of the PIV system but I suppose that it is an integrated on motherboard chip). Every time that I log-out and try to log-in again with a different user, I obtain an empty screen without any panel, or menu, or wallpaper. The only action I can do is to press [ctrl] + [alt] + [--] (to restart x-server) and than reboot the system because even if I try to log again with the old user I always obtain the empty screen. [Bug 136876] Re: Snippets plugin doesn't work
Alex, please don't change to a wrong status, we use Fix Commited when the bug is fixed upstream, it's easier to get a list of bugs with a patch that we might close, setting it to something else means it'll probably stay in the middle if thousand of open bugs. The fixed package has also be uploaded for this one some days ago, it's just blocked by the beta freeze at the moment to it's really fix commited, usually the maintainers know what they are doing and there is no reason to do such changes ** Changed in: gedit (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress = Fix Committed -- Snippets plugin doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136876 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 123281] Re: gimp won't start, crash in fbFetch_x8r8g8b8()
Bug #133124 is another firefox bug that is likely to be a duplicate of this one. The investigation I did seems to match what has been found out here with a few extra details: 1. The bug is not triggered on x86. 2. The bug is not triggered when the X server was set to 24 bit depth, but does at 16 bits. 3. The following patch to ubuntulooks avoids the crash (and Gimp runs with this patch): http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9497723/ubuntulooks_0.9.12-6-progressbar-fix.patch I agree that this is probably a bug in Cairo, so it is probably still possible to trigger the crash with the ubuntulooks patch applied -- this just stops the theme engine from triggering it. I guess the firefox bugs should be marked as duplicates of this one. -- gimp won't start, crash in fbFetch_x8r8g8b8() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123281 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 145235] Re: rhythmbox default window size is not optimal
Henrik Nilsen Omma writes ([Bug 145235] Re: rhythmbox default window size is not optimal): I should probably add a comment here since I'm the one who wrote 'right- click' in the test case. There is indeed an icon in the podcast section, which is arguably more discoverable than the right-click option. ... if it shows up :-). Instead of describing the icon in the test case, I opted for right- click. The solution might just be to change the test case and add a picture of the icon. I wasn't criticising the test case. If I'd seen another more discoverable way to do it I would probably have clicked on that anyway to check that it worked. [Bug 117896] Re: Loses e-mails when moving accross IMAP folders
Hi Guys and Gals I've recently come across this problem as well. 2 Things: 1. On the mail sending side: Mail destined for the sent items folder on the IMAP server seem to be randomly dropped. I've tried as best I can to reproduce but no luck. Another thing I've noticed is that it doesn't happen just to one specific messages but rather to all messages sent within a certain time period, this time period is also completely random as far as I can see. Therefore I doubt this bug is triggered by the message being sent, seems to almost be a time triggered event. 2. On the mail moving front: Same thing that Simon has logged, mails being moved either manually or by filters seem to be copied to the new location and then deleted from the original. This is a huge problem for one of my users that receives roughly 500 messages on an average day, and sends out between 200 - 300 messages a day as well. I agree with Simon that this bug needs to be bumped up the list of importance asap! -- Loses e-mails when moving accross IMAP folders https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/117896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
