[Bug 35876] Re: 'Downloading package information' and 'building dependency tree' progress dialogs steal focus
Contrary to Sebastian's comment in February, Compiz also exhibits this behaviour, so I don't think the entire blame can be placed on metacity. Nothing else on my Gutsy system behaves like this, so it has to be something update manager is doing differently - although I can't figure out what that is. It's incredibly irritating though (and makes me wonder - why pop up a window at all? Why not swap out the existing contents for a progress display? That's another bug of course). -- 'Downloading package information' and 'building dependency tree' progress dialogs steal focus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/35876 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for metacity in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 123078] Re: System - Quit takes a long time to appear
Ok, I've experienced the problem with compiz disabled too, so nevermind my post. The true workaround (found thanks to a post at lwn) is to have gnome-power-manager in your session (which I had removed since I don't have a laptop). -- System - Quit takes a long time to appear https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123078 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 123078] Re: System - Quit takes a long time to appear
As mentioned in my previous comment, it still happens if the user has no gnome-power-manager in his session (which worked fine in Feisty). I'm reopening the bug, just to make sure you know about it since I don't know if you want to support that case. ** Changed in: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released = Confirmed -- System - Quit takes a long time to appear https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123078 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 147634] [gutsy] External Tools plugin does not save keybindings
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit-plugins Hi, i am working with the latest up-to-date gutsy with gedit 2.20.1-0ubuntu2 and gedit-plugins 2.19.90-0ubuntu1. Summary: The External Tools plugin does not save the accelerator keybindings after restart. You can reproduce this when you start gedit, activate the plugin external tools und go to the external tools manager. Now, modify a tool by changing the accelerator. Close the tools manager window and open the tools menu. You see the right accelerator.
