[Bug 155236] Gutsy deskbar shortcut problem
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: deskbar-applet When changing the focus keyboard shortcut (by default AltF3), the previous shortcut key is still active. You need to logoff and login again to solve the problem. This bug is present in gutsy. Same bug was present in Dapper, later it was fixed in feisty. check https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deskbar-applet/+bug/50636 To reproduce: 1. Add Deskbar on the panel. 2. Change the shortcut key to something else (I used ctrlaltF) 3. Unfocus Deskbar and test the new key combination. 4. Unfocus Deskbar again and then test with the previous key combination. ** Affects: deskbar-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gutsy deskbar shortcut problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155236 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for deskbar-applet in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 152773] Taskbar is shared by all desktops
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: compiz I am running Gutsy's Compiz with Xgl and I have the desktop in cube configuration. When I rotate the cube with my mouse to find the face that contains a program I'm looking for, the task bar for each desktop is the same as the desktop I was on when the rotate began. This means that if the window I am looking for is hidden behind another one on a different desktop, I have to flip through to every desktop in order to find it. In order to fix the bug, create a different instance of the window list for each face of the cube and show them on the correct positions. This will make finding windows much easier and will improve usability. ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: Confirmed -- Taskbar is shared by all desktops https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/152773 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Hi, A workaround to this is to install libopal-2.2-ptrace instead of libopal-2.2 $ sudo apt-get install libopal-2.2-ptrace then $ ekiga -d 4 This will produce a useful debug output with the SIP protocol. [Bug 2288] Re: Opening a folder with lots of svgs causes crash
I'm able to reproduce this as follows: 1. Download this file: http://openclipart.org/downloads/0.18/openclipart-0.18-full.zip (if that exact file isn't available simply download the latest full-release here: http://openclipart.org/media/downloads) 2. Before extracting it with File Roller (the default extractor), be sure to un-check the Re-create Folders option, so that all the files in the archive are written to a single folder without having sub- folders. 3. Navigate to the folder where the files were extracted to (using Nautilus). Nautilus will lock up and no folders will be displayed and your desktop icons will disappear until you force quit Nautilus. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released = Confirmed -- Opening a folder with lots of svgs causes crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2288 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
