Re: [Bug 197357] Re: background zoom should be centered
It happens with both: The background itself is not centered, while the thumbnail is both off-center and clipped. I'm guessing that Nautilus is managing, since I usually right-click on the desktop to change the background. However, I also tried changing it via the control panel with the same result. [Bug 204202] [NEW] Ctrl+Z in Terminal doesn't work with dvorak layout
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal In Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon), Gnome Terminal (2.18.2-0ubuntu1) doesn't respect the Dvorak keyboard layout correctly. When pressing Ctrl+Z to suspend a process the text size is instead decreased. Ctrl+Z on Dvorak is on top of the '-' key on Qwerty so I assume that it is somehow interpreted on the key code level. Operation: Pressing Ctrl+Z in the terminal window Expected behavior: The currently running program is suspended Current behaviour: Text size is decreased Note that the text size can be decreased by Pressing Ctrl+- on the Dvorak layout (the correct behavior for this command). Note also that the same is valid for Ctrl+'+', i.e. pressing the physical key of Qwerty plus is interpreted as plus but it should use the Dvorak layout equivalent key. ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ctrl+Z in Terminal doesn't work with dvorak layout https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204202 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 193232] Re: Remote Samba shares not showing up in Nautilus through network:///
I am experiencing a similar problem with hardy installed in a virtual machine and with up-to-date packages. When I try to browse machines in a mixed environment some of them do not show any shared folders in nautilus. The network is using ADS and is controlled by a windows 2003 server. Machines running windows XP, windows 2003 and samba show '0 objects' in nautilus, but after inserting the complete path (eg.: smb://server/share) the folders can be accessed after the password prompt. Machines running windows 2000 show their folders regularly. I have observed the same behaviour using a hardy-alfa6-live CD, without any editing of smb.conf or other configurations. In the same network environment there are several machines, running ubuntu gutsy and debian etch, which do not have similar problems. -- Remote Samba shares not showing up in Nautilus through network:/// https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/193232 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 204249] [NEW] Evolution deletes and hides mail unexpectedly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution I have set up a number of filters to automatically move filtered mail to both outgoing and incoming folders. When I then send an email to multiple addresses, which includes one of my filtered addresses, the whole email fails to be visible in my sent folder and also fails to be visible in the filtered folder. To find them I had to uncheck the 'Hide deleted messages' box. Then I could see the email listed and scored through. I then had to undelete the message to make it visible in Sent. A pic of this manifestation is attached. If I send an email to a single address then evolution behaves as expected showing the email in Sent or the appropriate filtered folder. [Bug 204253] [NEW] key cache notification icon
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: seahorse Ubuntu 7.10 seahorse 2.20.1-0ubuntu1 Seahorse provides an option to display a lock icon in the notification area when it is actively caching keys. It provides a direct means of: - seeing (at a glance) that keys are in fact cached - seeing which keys are cached - flushing the cached keys However, the display of this icon is disabled by default.
