[Bug 281713] Re: evince doesn't print vector images in PDF
Thanks very much, upgrading to libcairo 1.8.2 has fixed it : ii libcairo2 1.8.2-0ubuntu1~fta1~intrepid The Cairo 2D vector graphics library For the benefit of others, after adding deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/fta/ubuntu intrepid main to my sources.list I just did sudo apt-get update then waited for the software update icon to appear in the taskbar. This issue was the first bug I noticed with Ubuntu when I started using it over a year ago. Desktop icon placement and grid manipulation is not a low priority issue. [Bug 293832] [NEW] printer prints page at wrong position, page cut
You have been subscribed to a public bug: After updating to intrepid, my Brother DCP-7025 printed every page about 2 cm above the usual position. This leads to pages cut as if printing with wrong paper configuration though A4 paper is set everywhere (Cups settings, program settings). For example when printing a test page with the printer configuration tool I cannot see the upper part of the Ubuntu logo. I have used both a hardy and an intrepid live cd to test and found out that the problem only occurs using intrepid, so I think it's a problem with the intrepid driver packages. However I found out, that in the printer configuration tool a wrong driver DCP-7025 BR-Script is loaded. The correct (and working!) driver is DCP-7025 for CUPS. So to manually solve the problem simply choose the correct driver in the tool. I think that during the installation process of the package brother- cups-wrapper-laser the correct driver is not set to be used as default driver and the system continues to use the wrong driver instead. ** Affects: poppler (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: Incomplete -- printer prints page at wrong position, page cut https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/293832 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to poppler in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Pedro, If you were talking about the pdf file I submitted, it works with adobe reader 8.1.2 on ubuntu. I attach screenshots with evince AR. I suspect either some kind of pdf containing standard pdf page with error message shown with 'old-style' viewer and alternate pdf format only shown by adobe products knowing of it, or maybe script detection of the viewer. but I haven't have a look inside the file. ** Attachment added: adobe_reader.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19965155/adobe_reader.png ** Attachment removed: adobe_reader.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19965155/adobe_reader.png -- PDF will not load in Evince https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/287548 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 302464] Re: While running, Rhythmbox sometimes crashes when I put in a burned CD or a data CD while it is playing music
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- While running, Rhythmbox sometimes crashes when I put in a burned CD or a data CD while it is playing music https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/302464 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
