I have been trying a couple of things and here are the results: Uninstalled gthumb (version 2.10.10) and then re-installed it. This did not make a difference. I renamed the .comments directory, then opened gthumb. Obviously no comments were present. When I click a photo, it creates a comment file and puts in the date/time stamp from the EXIF data. So, the issue seems to be more: whenever I click a photo the comment file gets overwritten with a new comment file containing the date/time stamp from the EXIF data. I had a look to see if there was some sort of debug logging I could turn on, but was unable to find this option. Does something like this exist? Does gthumb do any logging anywhere? -- gthumb loses comments on my photos https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/336066 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gthumb in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Tried to read my email with Evolution. After a few minutes the usual bug occured which makes Evolution unusuable here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution- exchange/+bug/119886. I restarted Evolution, read a few emails and the tried to look into the calendar. There was a little notification line in the bottom left of the Evolution calendar window telling me that there is a problem with the calendar. [Bug 343624] [NEW] rhythmdb.xml no longer present
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox In the recent update to version 0.11.99.1-0ubuntu1 the folder /home/user/.gnome2/rhythmbox no longer contains the playlist or rhythmdb xml files. This means I no longer can use the Rhythmbox plugin for Gnome-do, as it searches for rhythmdb.xml in this folder. Rhythmbox does save the library when exited, but seems the database has been moved. Reverting to the previous version in jaunty will generate output in /home/user/.gnome2 I don't know if it is intentional or not. If the database has moved permanently, where has it gone? ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- rhythmdb.xml no longer present https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/343624 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 343667] [NEW] changing the number of workspaces through the pager applet preferences dialog does not affect available keyboard shortcuts in the keyboard shortcuts
Public bug reported: The keyboard shortcuts preferences dialog has options for assigning keyboard shortcuts for switching to a specific workspace or moving a window to a specific workspace. These settings are named switch to workspace X or move window to workspace X where there is one entry of each type for each workspace that is configured (so by default there are 2 workspaces configured and there are two switch to workspace entries). When changing the number of workspaces using the workspace pager preferences dialog, the keyboard shortcut dialog does not get any more switch to workspace or move to workspace settings, and its not possible to assign keyboard shortcuts to the new workspaces that are made available. ** Affects: control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- changing the number of workspaces through the pager applet preferences dialog does not affect available keyboard shortcuts in the keyboard shortcuts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/343667 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
