[Bug 362736] [NEW] Nautilus shows wrong file copying progress indication

2009-04-17 Thread lokster
Public bug reported:

When I copy files to my USB stick in Nautilus, the progress information shows
wrong file size and estimated time.
Something like Remaining time 45457 hours Copied 431543347676576.00 GB of
497GB etc.
The files I'm trying to copy are several hundred MB. This happens on at least
three different PCs.
Screenshot attached.

[Bug 95853] Re: Delete file in Nautlus - no warning

2009-04-17 Thread Tomer Shalev
upstream disagree that's a bug, they have a point you can restore
things moved in the trash easily and adding confirmation dialogs is
rather annoying than useful in most of the cases

Are you serious?! Any other desktop environment (Windows / KDE) asks. This is
what the user expects!

[Bug 361024] Re: Can't stop landscape-client from System Administration Services

2009-04-17 Thread Daniel Holbach
Do you want to milestone this?

The change needs to happen in src/common/gst-service-role.c and needs to be of
the form
{ postgresql-8.2, GST_ROLE_DATABASE_SERVER },

So maybe
{ landscape-client, GST_ROLE_SYSTEM_MONITORING },

Check out src/common/gst-service-role.h for the list of roles.

[Bug 32194] Re: no way to set order of startup programs

2009-04-17 Thread Brice Terzaghi
Thanks for your answer.

My problem was to start XCompMgr (composition manager) before the
softwares that need it, i.e. Avant Window Navigator. I've solved it by
launching the command from the .gnomerc file. As far as I understand,
there is a launch order for these launcher scripts (.gnomerc,
autostart.sh and so on), so it can be a workaround in some cases.

Although a launch order for applications set in Gnome session properties
would still be nice to add back. :)

[Bug 362771] [NEW] Icon view zoom incorrectly recalculates scrolled window width

2009-04-17 Thread Kobus Retief
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Hi

When increasing icon zoom to 100% in icon view, the scrolled window
width is zoomed too. Unfortunately, the number of icons that will fit
in the window is correct, and hence one would e.g. end up with 3 icons
on a 6 icon-wide scrolled window.

As an example, I'll attach three screenshots of a window in icon view
mode:

nautilus-window-100.png:a window at 100% zoom icon view -- displays
correctly
nautilus-window-150-1.png: a window at 150% zoom icon view -- appears to
display correctly, but note the horizontal scrollbar scrolled all the way to
the left...
nautilus-window-150-2.png: the same window scrolled all the way to the right --
now note the large empty space to the right of the icons

UPDATE: sorry, should have mentioned that I noticed it after upgrading

[Bug 362399] Re: Evolution freezes every time after a Google iCal is added

2009-04-17 Thread Roshan George
I am unable to reproduce the bug now, sorry. If it ever occurs again I
will provide that information in a bug report. Everything is working
fine now.

Odd, it persisted through reboots. Might have been due to a problem in
the connection.

Thanks for your time.

[Bug 362783] [NEW] fist double-click does nothing, second opens eog but not image

2009-04-17 Thread David Prieto
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eog

I'm suffering a bug where EOG randomly fails to open (at least) PNG
images: the first time I double-click them, nothing happens. The second
time I double-click them EOG opens, but it does not show the image
(screenshot attached).

This seems to happen randomly, and if you double-click the image several
times it opens fine sooner or later.

[Bug 272083] Re: Zenity windows appear underneath others

2009-04-17 Thread Steve Langasek
This patch seems to be rather large for the change in question, I wonder
if each of the changes is necessary or if this change is overreaching?

The upstream bug linked here points out that having the pop-ups steal
the focus, which I believe is the result of this change, will /also/
make people unhappy; I think what you ideally want here is for the
window to open on top, but to not steal the focus? But neither the
existing behavior, nor this change, give you that.

I'm concerned about changing the behavior of this program so blatantly,
so shortly before release. Mario, would it still meet your needs for
mythbuntu if this change landed as an SRU instead, to give it more time
to bake?

[Bug 362798] [NEW] Dragging to the location bar should open the window

2009-04-17 Thread David Prieto
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I would like to request the following feature:

-Let's suppose I have two folders in my desktop: Folder A and Folder B.
-I want to move one file from Folder A to Folder B. So I opper Folder A.
-I drag the file to the Desktop button in the location bar, and hold it for a
couple seconds.
-The desktop opens in the same window, and I can take the file to Folder B.

This could also work when dragging to folders, or even the back /
forward / up buttons.

[Bug 275046] Re: gnome-sound-recorder does not capture sound properly (static click sounds)

2009-04-17 Thread Daniel Ellis
Same issue here on Dell mini9 running Ubuntu 904 release candidate with
netbook remix.

Recording to ogg results in just a few clicks. Running the system
monitor, I can see both cores are running at maximum.

I can get get it to work if I don't have anything else running and
system monitor at nice 5. The cores are both right at the top but not
quite max. Recording again then causes the cpu to max and the sound is
just a few crackles.

There is no problem recording to wav, as the CPUs are only about 50%.

[Bug 362872] [NEW] Track Disapear after editing properties until restart of Rhythmbox

2009-04-17 Thread Angel115
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I've notice that trackes are disapearing from the list when editing
properties of a song.

How to reproduce:
1. Find a song with Unknown as Track number (for example but it can be
reproduce as well with Title, Artist or Album).
2. Edit the properties of that song.
3. On the Track number field change the Unknown by 1 (or what ever number you
want)
4. Close the properties and wait 1 or 2 sec, you should notice that the track
is not visible anymore. (the bug is at this step as I believe that the file
shouldn't disappear)
5. If you close Rhythmbox and reopen it the file is back with the track number
memorized.

no, it's probably not due to ffmpeg then, did you note when the issue
started and what you upgraded before?

[Bug 362850] [NEW] address book modifications in evolution aren't reflected to opened emails

2009-04-17 Thread marco.pallotta
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

If you are writing an email and you realize that you haven't a
particular contact in address book to send it and then, with the email
opened, you add that contact to evolution, you cannot see the contact in
the email (through the To button) until you close and re-open the
email.

Tested with Ubuntu Hardy and Evolution 2.22.3.1

[Bug 362872] Re: Track Disapear after editing properties until restart of Rhythmbox

2009-04-17 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
Thanks for the report, i cannot confirm this, what i did here was:
remove all the id3 tags from the a music file, later just added the
album and artist one leaving the track number empty (Unknown), added the
track in rhythmbox, search for the artist previously added, set the
track number on the properties window, closed the window and the track
number is updated, i don't miss the track from the rhythmbox ui. Could
you please try the same in Jaunty it's probably fixed there, thanks in
advance.

[Bug 362872] Re: Track Disapear after editing properties until restart of Rhythmbox

2009-04-17 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
would be good if you can get a rhythmbox debug log while reproducing
the issue with intrepid, please run rhythmbox as rhythmbox --debug
rhythmbox-debug.txt and attach that resulting file to the report, thanks
in advance. and please remind to test the same with jaunty.
