[Bug 390001] Re: Gnome visual effects not retained after reboot
I just reported Bug 482539 but it has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. I am not sure that it is but . . . I had Jaunty installed and decided to switch from No visual effects (Metacity) to Normal visual effects (Compiz) after this change Metacity never worked again despite being installed and my chopice of Normal visual effects was not remembered. Thus whenever I log out and login my session starts with no windows manager. So it appears similar to this bug reports except that it is a per session not a per boot issue as the title suggests. Moreover this bug is reported as fixed by switching to Karmic. I have just upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic and I still have the I don't get a window manager on login problem. I have no idea what communication failure there is between Gnome, Metacity, Compiz, etc. but it has clearly broken down in a big way. I should also point out Bug 482538: The Compiz settings that I set up are forgotten across logins as well. All this seems to lead towards a break down of user specified state logging during a session. -- Gnome visual effects not retained after reboot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/390001 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 429322] Re: [Bug 466773] Re: LMMS .4.5
No, the solution is not to unsubscribe from Bug #429322. Probably, you are not even subscribed to that bug. If you are receiving all these e-mail notifications, it's because you are subscribed to *another* bug. To one that is a duplicate of Bug #429322. Which bug is that? Well, the one (or ones) that you reported yourself. How to unsubscribe, then? 1.- Go to the web: https://launchpad.net/ 2.- If you're not logged in, use the link on the upper right corner to log in. 3.- Click your own user name in the upper right corner to go your personal Launchpad page. 4.- In the column titled Participation (on the right) click on Bugs. 5.- Click on Advanced Search under the search textbox. Scroll down and unmark the option Hide duplicate bugs. Then click Search. 6.- Look for the bug(s) you reported yourself. If you didn't change the summary while reporting, it should say seahorse-agent But it may be different. In any case, it shouldn't be very difficult to find. (Hint: look for the bugs with the greater bug number.) 7.- Click on the bug to open it, then click Unsubscribe on the right column. Regards. anatoly techtonik escribió: Direct link to unsubscribe. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 429322 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/429322 If you keep receiving mails, then you are subscribed to at least one bug. It may be difficult to find out which one it is... People usually try to unsubscribe from bug #429322, because it is the reference bug mentioned in all the mails received. But that's not the right solution. You are probably not even subscribed to that bug. 99% of the times, the bug you are subscribed to is the bug that you reported yourself (or bugs, if you reported the error more than once). How to find it? Well, you will have to go to your personal Launchpad page, get into the Bugs section and search for it. Remember to unmark the Hide duplicate options.
