[Bug 214370] Re: Logout/Shutdown Sound Not Working
Everyone, unless you have a comment relevent to the fixing of the problem as described below, please stop commenting so that the bug report remains clear. If you are simply saying it affects you, please use the 'This bug affects 18 people. Does this bug affect you?' link at the top. Redirecting focus to the actual bug filed here: There is a file called 'libcanberra-logout-sound.sh' in /usr/share/gnome/shutdown that is meant to be run on shutdown. The reason the file is not played is that the piece of code that is meant to be in gnome-session to run all files in the /usr/share/gnome/shutdown directory is not there (it was forgot). Upstream is a patch someone made to fix it and the nautilus developers suggested some changes to the patch. This bug needs someone to modify the patch as required. -- Logout/Shutdown Sound Not Working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/214370 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-session in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 444881] Re: [Karmic] Battery monitor applet doesn't show battery remaining time
Quite same problem on my HP Pavillion DV3550ev. The problem comes with ubuntu 9.10 and not with 9.04. [Bug 496253] Re: login keyring does not get unlocked at login
The problem seems to be related to downgrading gdm to gdm-2.20. Steps to reproduce: 1. downgrade to gdm-2.20 (e.g.: apt-get install gdm-2.20) 2. remove residual gdm's configuration files (e.g.: dpkg --purge gdm) 3. reinstall gdm-2.20 (e.g.: apt-get --reinstall install gdm-2.20) Restart and login: the login.keyring does not get anymore unlocked automatically. The following steps seem to solve the problem: 1. reinstall gdm (e.g.: apt-get install gdm) 2. downgrade to gdm-2.20 (e.g.: apt-get install gdm-2.20) 3. do not purge the gdm configuration! -- login keyring does not get unlocked at login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/496253 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I'm getting the same error in Jaunty that the original poster described (System error: E_NOTIMPL). [Bug 498795] [NEW] f-spot should include an option to completely remove icon from the tag
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: f-spot In f-spot you can remove the icon from a tag but then, if you tag a photo with that tag, the icon (representing the pthoto) is automatically added. I think f-spot should include an option to completely remove icon from the tag (or all icons from all the tags). [Bug 498800] [NEW] f-spot should include an option to export tag icons
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: f-spot When you install a new system and then you want to import all your photos managed with f-spot (and tagged with it with tags stored in the photos) you can simply import your photos (file - import) with f-spot and all of them have their previous tags, but what about the tag icons? They are lost. I think f-spot should include an option to export tag icons. Maybe the best thing is to add an export feature that allows you to copy your photos into a target directory (for example an usb medium) and the icons into a file so that f-spot can import them. [Bug 492810] Re: Nautilus uses 100% cpu after downloading torrent
I don't wanna be rude but it seems that nobody gives a shxt!! It's obvious that free software isn't well developed as the other ones but at least one should have good support to fix the unbelievable number of bugs that it has attached.. Plus it seems to be a pretty serious bug since with the nautilus not working, it's pretty hard to use the OS.. I'm quite disappointed. -- Nautilus uses 100% cpu after downloading torrent https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/492810 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
