Sorry for the incomplete report. It's Lucid with all updates as of April 15th. I just re-tested with a new user. All shares I setup with nautilus-clonnect-server are lost at logout and have to be re-configured at the next login. PS: Right now you can only test this for shares without password, because of a bug in gnome-keyring: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-keyring/+bug/552375 It is impossible to setup a share with passwords if you try to save the password in gnome-keyring. -- nautilus-connect-server: mounted shares are lost at logout https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/558469 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 564436] [NEW] network places does not inform users to use brackets for IPv6 address
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel On Lucid development branch, network places gives generic error message when trying to connect to a server over IPv6, rather than suggesting the user place the address in square brackets. [ ] Further more, placing the address address in brackets is not an intuitive method for users to connect to remote machines. If brackets are indefinitely needed place a reminder in the connect to server window after it's open. [Bug 482505] Re: External USB Disk does not automatically mount at boot (worked in Jaunty, not in Karmic).
I don't believe that this is fixed yet. I have Ubuntu Lucid Beta which was up to date yesterday. When I plug in a flash drive or an NTFS volume, the lights on the device flash but it does not appear is the list of Places. In order to make it work I have added the following 3 lines to /etc/rc.local #use lspci |grep -i ehci to determine PCI device number of EHCI controller #use result (00:1d.7) in command below echo -n :00:1d.7 /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ehci_hcd/unbind I used those instructions because I found them at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1307542page=6 (entry #57) I am using an Acer Aspire One - but the same problem exists using an Asus PC with Karmic. Perhaps this problem is slightly different to the one described above - but in my opinion it is a show stopper ! -- External USB Disk does not automatically mount at boot (worked in Jaunty, not in Karmic). https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/482505 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

The icon used in the panel is used elsewhere too , so adding a panel icon is not possible. It needs fixing in gdu first. This bug is an upstream one and it would be quite helpful if somebody experiencing it could send the bug the to the people writing the software. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. [Bug 563113] Re: epiphany-extensions uninstallable in lucid (epiphany 2.30 conflicts with epiphany-extensions 2.29)
resetting to new to start request for feature-freeze exception. Please sync epiphany-extensions from Debian unstable. The rationale is pretty obvious. The current epiphany package specifically breaks any epiphany-extensions package earlier than the one currently in Debian unstable. epiphany-extensions obviously depends on the epiphany-browser package. As such, it is currently not installable. That is only fixable by syncing the version from Debian unstable.
