 Upstream's release notes also indicate:
 - AMR-NB decoding/encoding, AMR-WB decoding via OpenCORE libraries
 - nonfree libamr support for AMR-NB/WB decoding/encoding removed
 - RTP depacketization of AMR

also mentioned:

- AMR-NB decoder

Also checkout the file libavcodec/amrnbdec.c in the sources.

AMR-WB is still missing, though.

[Bug 595439] [NEW] /usr/share/applications/f-spot.desktop, f-spot-view.desktop f-spot-import.desktop have identical entry Name=F-Spot

2010-06-17 Thread Detlef Lechner
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: f-spot

The files /usr/share/applications/f-spot.desktop, f-spot-view.desktop
f-spot-import.desktop have an identical entry Name=F-Spot. So in Nautilus a
user cannot differentiate between them when browsing the directory
/usr/share/applications/ .
This confuses a user. It can easily be corrected by differentiating so that a
user is less confused and better informed.

(The same applies to the program Brasero where there are 2 identical
entries.)

[Bug 529696] Re: brasero can't copy audio cd (useless error message)

2010-06-17 Thread Nikolaus Filus
@John Garland:
How can you change the status to Fix released, if there is only an unofficial
fix from a PPA?! Fix released means done, closed, go along, but as long as
there is no correct package in the official ubuntu sources, most people will
have the problem.

Status for brasero (Ubuntu) should be in progress unless someone
pushes the updated package and/or the patch into the official
repositories.

I tried to reproduce the bug by just opening a file in firefox
and it shows the same result.

firefox is open, i click on file, open file, doubleclick on a file on my desktop
and firefox opens an other file not that one i selected.

So i don't know which package exactly is buggy...

the screenshot i attached is taken from firefox and shows the web servers
web interfaces who's installed on my iphone but as i wrote if i click there on
Durchsuchen who stands for the english word Search, the dialog appears
as i know it from every application who allows to open files so i think its not

For what it's worth, I can confirm this problem in Jaunty as well. I

Re: [Bug 562160] Re: evolution stops correctly download messages from pop3 servers and also starts doing weird stuff with IMAP ones

2010-06-17 Thread absinthetized
I've tested with lucid as follow:

1) I've launched the live environment and setted up my imap account on
lucid live. evolution has done the job well for the few new emails
resident inside the imap server.

2) I've repeated the operation mounting my home from the HD in order to
load evolution settings and folders. lucid's version of evolution has
converted the mail database automatically without any dialog for
consensus (something related to a mismatch between db type/or version in
lucid vs hardy)... this sound a bit scarring but... everything goes ok.
again lucid's evolution has worked well for the few emails I've received
in the while.

3) I've rebooted in my 8.04 ubuntu and reopended evolution after several
weeks of non-usage: again everything has gone smooth this time! do not
ask me the reasons...

hardy's evolution has gone crazy for around 1 month on both imap and
pop3 after almost 2 years of correct usage. then it seems to work again
without _any_ reason, - specifically noone of my office-mates was
afflicted by this behaviour by using outlook , thus I suppose this was
not a issue of our servers.

I can just point out my steps after the crazy behaviour:

1- I've dismissed evolution;
2- I've used claws mail as client for a while (basically for the time
between my bug report and your answer), reorganizing imap folders from
its interface;
3- I've tested the new evolution from lucid in live mode by mounting my
evolution folders in my home.
4- I've constantly kept hardy updated by issuing 'aptitude update
aptitude dist-upgrade'.

I do not think claws can resolve download issues of evolution :-) so
step 1- should be harmless...

has db conversion actually made a copy of the evolution database rather
than converting it? otherwise how can hardy's evolution still works? can
it be the reason for the re-established correct behaviour?.

I really don't know, btw everything now seems ok (and slw on imap
connections wrt claws) so you can close the bug I guess.

[Bug 578864] Re: Crash Evolution

2010-06-17 Thread Jesse Raleigh
This is getting to be pretty tiresome. None of us can help in any way
without some FEEDBACK.

What do you folks need to move this from incomplete to something that
can be acted upon?

[Bug 481312] Re: Laptop suspends when I connect/disconnect AC

2010-06-17 Thread Berend De Schouwer
This is all for Lucid:

The lid is always closed. /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID/state is always closed.
upower -d | grep lid always looks like:
  lid-is-closed: yes
  lid-is-present: yes

I find that very interesting.

If I set g-p-m to blank screen (choices [ blank | suspend | hibernate |
shutdown ]) it blanks the screen.

I then ran upower -d in an infinite loop, and ran diff on the results. Here's
the results:

chunk.315 -- just before plugin
chunk.316 -- at plugin

chunk.diff -- the whole diff.

chunk.0 was empty. chunk.325 was also empty (during suspend)

The stuff that changes:
state: discharging - charging
on-battery: yes - no
energy rate
percentage
time to empty / time to full

[Bug 449360] Re: automatic proxy configuration doesn't work

2010-06-17 Thread mizu
The similar problem with 2.30.2 in debian.

I can't use proxy authentication. The browser can load the initial warning
html page from proxy (obtained from proxy.pac) with a button for
authentication. In Firefox/IE, after pressing the button the auth dialog
appears. But the Epiphany sends none http request after pressing that button.
Instead of auth dialog the standard message is displayed:

[
   Unable to load page
Problem occurred while loading the URL http://proxy-login.domain.com/
  Cannot connect to destination
]

Auth proxy form is:

form method='POST' ACTION='http://proxy-login.domain.com/'

  input type='hidden' name='url' value='http%3A//www.this_is_it.com/'/

[Bug 584183] Re: Evolution crashes almost randomly

2010-06-17 Thread Matthias Braun
I had the same issue. After some updates in the last weeks.
At least for me it seemed like evolution always crashed when it wanted to ask
me for a password.
So after checking my gnome-keyring configuration (some stuff in these
Session/Start-Applications) settings were disabled for me. And I had an extra
entry in /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-keyring.desktop.dpkg-bak.
Anyway my crashs are gone now so unfortunately I can't create a backtrace or
valgrind dump. I'm also not sure which of my steps exactly made it working
again.

It's marked as fixed in Hardy and Intrepid. You're saying it exists in
Karmic now too? When you say totally fresh, do you mean you do or don't
have updates installed? If it was this bug coming back, it shouldn't
take a month either. It should immediately break as soon as you opened
a folder in any application other than Nautilus. Do you fit that
completely reproducible test case? If not, open a new bug.

[Bug 595518] [NEW] Latest update makes gnome-keyring non-functional and extremely slow

2010-06-17 Thread darteaga
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-keyring

After the update to the 2.30.1 version
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-keyring/+bug/570736),
gnome-keyring has stopped working in my system and on top of that is
responding extremely slow.

When using seahorse, I get the message:

** Message: secret service operation failed: The name org.freedesktop.secrets
was not provided by any .service files
** Message: secret service operation failed: The name org.freedesktop.secrets
was not provided by any .service files
** (seahorse:2627): WARNING **: couldn't get default keyring name: Errow when
communicationg with gnome-keyring-daemon.

after a *looong time* ( 1 min)

This makes several system components unusable:

* SVN: Trying to use svn takes long
* Evolution: The same.
* Empathy: I have lost the empathy account information and I am no longer able
to create new accounts. Very slow as well.

As a partial workaround, I have reverted to the old version. This makes
svn and evolution usable again, but not empathy.

Thank you very much!

Using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and gnome-keyring 2.92.92.is.2.30.1-0ubuntu2 0

[Bug 595518] Re: Latest update makes gnome-keyring non-functional and extremely slow

2010-06-17 Thread Sebastien Bacher
thank you for your bug report. When did the issue start? What version do
you downgrade to? Is the issue in 2.92.92.is.2.30.1-0ubuntu1 or
2.92.92.is.2.30.1-0ubuntu2 only? Do you have any special configuration?
Does it happen for any user?

[Bug 595472] Re: Appearence properties visual effects options doesn't persist

2010-06-17 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. Please answer these questions:

 * Is this reproducible?
 * If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
 * Do you get effects or not? The title says the option doesn't persist and the
description that there is no change, which one is it?

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.
