The same bug was reproducible in Ubuntu 10.04, as I use the new version of gcalctool(5.31.1). I think the upgraded version of Gcalctool, with the new UI has this problem. [Bug 606149] Re: window borders don't have anti aliasing
Thank you for helping with making Ubuntu and Metacity better by reporting this bug. I can confirm this issue, have found an upstream report describing the same problem at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345249. However, unfortunately I don't think that this bug is trivial enough to fix to accept it as a paper cut. It's not that easy to implement this feature, so that's where this bug report falls short of the criteria for the paper cuts project. I'm marking this bug as Invalid ONLY in the One Hundred Paper Cuts project. I'm changing the status in Ubuntu to Triaged, since the bug is confirmed and an upstream report has been found, and the status to Wishlist, since this is an enhancement suggestion, not a regression. ** Changed in: metacity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Wishlist ** Changed in: metacity (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: metacity (Ubuntu) Milestone: None = jaunty-updates ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Status: New = Invalid -- window borders don't have anti aliasing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/606149 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 613351] [NEW] mouse stops working correctly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal This problem is happening only when working in gnome-terminal. While I'm typing the keyboard and the mouse left key becomes unresponsive and gnome-terminal shows as if I was doing some text selection. If I switch to another application with ALT+TAB (which is not always possible), the weird behavior keeps happening with other application: unresponsive keyboard and left mouse key not working. Right and middle mouse key seems to be working though. Sometimes the mouse button and the keyboard resume to normal operation after a while. At the very worse I need to restart the GDM or the whole PC when the keyboard and the mouse keep not working properly. [Bug 448051] Re: The trash is not emptied anymore in Karmic when ejecting removable devices
Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu installation, which affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of the project. A quick glance on the upstream bug report seems to indicate that this bug is most certainly not trivial to fix, and therefore it is not a valid paper cut. For further info about papercuts criteria, please read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut. The reason I specified that Notify OSD fallback alerts https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NotifyOSD#alert should have at least two buttons, instead of at least one, is to cater for applications that distinguish between no action (closing the bubble in notification-daemon == Cancel in Notify OSD) and the default action (clicking the bubble's main area in notification-daemon == OK button or equivalent in Notify OSD). Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs.
