[Bug 569994] Re: eject hotkey fails to eject cd on gnome lucid
It matters from a bug fix point of view: one issue can be fixed without the other. Please report a new bug (using ubuntu-bug gvfs) with a summary like eject hotkey should eject an empty tray. -- eject hotkey fails to eject cd on gnome lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569994 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 619019] [NEW] Eject hotkey does not open empty tray
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gvfs In Lucid, the hotkey associated with eject does not open the CD tray when it's empty. This worked in every release until Karmic, so seems like a regression. The causes of this might be related to Bug #569994. Following the recommendation there, I opened a new report specific to the case where the tray is empty. [Bug 619034] [NEW] USB file transfer appears to freeze and takes a long time to complete
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus When I begin a file transfer over usb (say to an mp3 player or psp), it'll immediately transfer ~250mb nearly instantly and then the progress bar freezes. Depending on how much I'm trying to transfer it can take hours to complete (if I allow it to). Clicking cancel doesn't seem to work, because it just says cancel forever and I cannot eject the drive. [Bug 294730] Re: Screensaver hangs after Intrepid update
I have this problem with my Dell Dimension (Pentium 4) running the Ubuntu 10.04, but only with some screensavers. The black screen appears when changing the screensaver, but ocurred with other applications, too, specially when using something graphics. I have no troubles with the same UBuntu 10.04 on my laptop Vostro, AMD Sempron. Perhaps could be another bug, or a additional. -- Screensaver hangs after Intrepid update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294730 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 162544] Re: Custom calendar alarm causes computer to beep rather than to play the specified sound; evolution-alarm-notify treats sound URI as simple filename
A suggestion for solution and request for higher priority. This bug is for some people a high priority. That is to say, some people need to be on time some places and it is the sound alarm that tells them to go because they are not watching the screen and the popup is too fast to be useful. It actually should stay up until user dismiss it just like alarm clock snooze. This bug is around at least 2 years. In 9.04 I was able to get around play sound reminder by using run program which I made play sound file. That worked in 9.04 but not in 9.10. I am not claiming being expert on Evolution (in fact I am not expert), but here is my suggestion. Since the popup notifier does work for most people, here is how to fix make sound alarm. Copy the code of popup notification. In the middle replace the section doing popup with system call to play/aplay sound file. You can also apply it to run program. -regards -- Custom calendar alarm causes computer to beep rather than to play the specified sound; evolution-alarm-notify treats sound URI as simple filename https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/162544 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
