[Bug 80365] Re: [master] ASX files that don't play
Trying to play a *.asx file I get the message: „GstDecodeBin2:This appears to be a text file.“ It seems that asx files which contain a dynamic link produce this message. [Bug 595561] Re: Drag and drop of playlist on external device doesn't do anything
Of course, actual support to drag and drop files would be much better. The script is just a dirty workaround. For MTP mode, the bug is here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=503188 There does not seem to be an upstream bug for supporting the Sansas in MSC mode, but this would likely require code for each player. As I understand things, MSC mode means that the device shows up just like a USB key, so RB would need a database of where each player type stored its playlists (it doesn't seem to matter on the Fuze) and what format is used (.m3u on the Fuze), so that it can create the appropriate playlist and put it in the correct place. It would be great to have, though, as currently it looks like it should work, but just doesn't. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #503188 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=503188 -- Drag and drop of playlist on external device doesn't do anything https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/595561 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Fabio @ jonie I tested in Maverick and I can confirm that this issue is fixed, but in Lucid it was like I said before. So it's most likely a duplicate of bug 581925 I've tried much times becouse I use DVD to test iso images, and the destroyed DVD are unusable in k3b or in cdcreator, simply not detected, They are not destroyed, but now you can't use the recorder unless udev detects the disk. Because of the bug it doesn't. and the time that pass between starting fast blanking and the popup of message was in the order of 3 -4 seconds, impossible to blank a disk in so litle time. It is possible. The random rewritable media like DVD+RW require just some sectors at the beginning to be erased. The bare minimum is 64 kilobytes, Brasero does about 4 Megabytes but on DVD it just witihin second (it takes longer to spin up the disk and start writing) I still don't have enough information to mark the bug as duplicate, but very probably it's not in Brasero. -- Brasero instead of blanking, destroy DVD-RW https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/624642 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 632810] Re: after editing in EOG with Shotwell, the picture in EOG is not actualized
Other ideas (don't know if feasable) to minimize the impact of this bug in 10.10 : - add a Reload button in Maverick's EOG - automatically reload EOG when its editor (Shotwell) is closed. The Edit picture button added by Ubuntu in EOG makes this bug very visible by Ubuntu users. This is not a critical bug, but I believe it is quite important because of its high visibility : everybody who will use the Edit picture button in EOG will be confused and will think the editor is broken. [Bug 140503] Re: mouse cursor looks different in gtk and qt programs
I was able to partially work around this: 1. open KDE's systemsettings app 2. select Keyboard Mouse Mouse Cursor Theme 3. select a DIFFERENT cursor than the current (desired) one 4. click Apply 5. re-select the desired theme 6. click Apply again I'm using the DMZ (Black) GNOME theme, if that's relevant. It's possible the bug is with: A) how that cursor theme's content is laid out B) the instantiation of GNOME cursor themes in KDE's settings C) incomplete instantiation of GNOME cursor themes in KDE's settings (even with the above workaround I still see the KDE Oxygen cursor theme's busy art when a Qt application is busy) D) the process for installing or upgrading any of the involved packages (this install of Lucid was upgraded from Karmic and so on a few versions back, not a fresh install) Hope this helps. -- mouse cursor looks different in gtk and qt programs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140503 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 518368] Re: gdk_display_sync: assertion `GDK_IS_DISPLAY (display)' failed
I get the two assert lines. No segfault/crash. But, I find an instance of gnome-appearance-properties in the background taking 100% CPU. That is a problem discussed in some older bug-reports and I wonder if there is any relation. I have to do a 'killall gnome-appearance-properties' to get the processor back. My system is running standard Lucid with some customizations on the Ambiance theme (I think this problem started after I did these changes; but that is not certain, I recently shifted from Jaunty to Lucid -- new-install, not an upgrade). I have all packages updated to current. Could not locate any specific fix for this processor hog problem and I am not even sure it is really related to the asserts. Any light on the relation or lack-there-of would be great. Also, any references to specific open bugs discussing this will also help. thanks.
