[Bug 718215] Re: gedit crash on save as
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. [Bug 713768] Re: login fails; freezes after selecting user from the face browser
Hi Martin-Éric, Thanks for reporting this issue. I don't think it's a GDM bug, though, but the problem seems to be caused by the incorrect LANGUAGE value fi_FI.UTF-8. You are not expected to use a complete locale name to denote a language in the LANGUAGE priority list, and neither .utf8 nor .UTF-8 shall be included. http://www.gnu.org/software/hello/manual/gettext/The-LANGUAGE-variable.html The latest released GDM version (2.32.0-0ubuntu7) would not have stopped you from logging in, but that's actually a coincidence. No program will protect you fully from mistakes when you edit config files manually. ;-) ** Changed in: gdm (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/713768 Title: login fails; freezes after selecting user from the face browser -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

What about simple ELF executables? They doesn't work anymore! Futhermore the .exe files won't executes in the same way, because Wine tells me that this files are not marked as executable. Now on Maverick you cannot run .exe and simple ELF executables For me is a problem because I've done a work based on Wine witch I've called 'Wine Portables' : using the intresting concept from playonlinux I've builted a lot of 'portable software' in a self contained wine binaries+wineprefix folders and I use this 'portable' very often. [Bug 718696] [NEW] gnome-keyboard-properties crashed with assertion failure when removing keymap
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center I am currently running the alpha natty narwhal ... Description:Ubuntu natty (development branch) Release:11.04 ... and found a reproducible bug when I try to remove the keymap Deutsch (german) in the gnome-keyboard-properties -- gnome-control-center: Installiert: 1:2.32.1-0ubuntu4 Kandidat: 1:2.32.1-0ubuntu4 I have installed currently two keymaps: - de-latin1-nodeadkeys - de-latin1 If I remove de-latin1 (Deutsch/German) and close the application gnome-keyboard-properties, the application crashed immediately and apport tries to catch up the failure but given up, cause it cant handle the assertion failure as it notice me in a message-box. The keyboard-applet in the control-center also left away... If I reopen the program via System-Preferences-Keyboard it shows no changes on available keymaps (cause it crashed ;-)) I hope in the attached files there are some hints.. its created via apport-bug control-center If you need any assistance or additional information, contact me. (as I mentioned it is the right one..) as i further followed the instructions to get a Backtrace with gdb I tried: gdb gnome-keyboard-settings 21 | tee ~/gnome-keyboard-properties.txt with no success, gdb comes up, but no start of gnome-keyboard-properties. [Bug 716203] Re: summary bugs in empathy
thanks for the bug report and sorry for the inconvenience. To report a bug you need to report each problem separately so that it is easy for people to read and understand bugs. Since you bug dont have any useful data and contains three different bugs. I am closing this bug as invalid. Please report a new bug or bugs if you are facing multiple problems by following the procedure here. PS: You can install pidgin from ubuntu software center which should have a better support for Yahoo. and also audio/video calls for yahoo dont work in empathy or pidgin for that matter. ** Changed in: empathy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: empathy (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/716203 Title: summary bugs in empathy -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
