Last I checked, this worked with Empathy in Natty (with most supported
cameras). Does anyone still have issues with XMPP video chat? Does this
work in Pidgin?

[Bug 836612] Re: There is no option to configure laptop lid action

2011-08-31 Thread Matthew Gregg
I am still not sure if suspend has just gotten much more unreliable on
my laptop in 11.10 or if it is an artifact of the missing lid close
option/functionality. I did find this script
http://fedora.rasmil.dk/blog/?p=208 that adds gsettings for lid close
actions. This seems to effect gnome-power-managers actions on lid close,
but suspend still seems less reliable than 11.10. By unreliable I mean
sometimes I have a normal suspend, then at times it tries to suspend,
but the screen back-light, disk, fan stay running, but the desktop does
lock, wifi disconnects and goes to a blank screen.

2011-08-31 Thread Jamie Strandboge
Marc, thanks for your patch!

The patch looks good except that you included the fix for bug #807507 as
part of the patch, but didn't include it in the changelog. Since it
isn't clear what the intent is here, please either update the patch to
remove this fix or update the changelog to include a description of this
fix (and update bug #807507 according to
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates).

Please mark the bug back to 'Confirmed' and resubscribe ubuntu-sponsors
when the changes are complete. Thanks again.

[Bug 661759] Re: HP G62-a50SM battery status

2011-08-31 Thread notoriousdbp
I've never had a problem with percentage remaining being available, this
really does look like a hardware problem as I don't get a time remaining
available in Windows. Interestingly, the HP Support Assistant software
can retrieve all the battery information that neither Windows itself or
Gnome can - maybe there's some proprietary code tucked away somewhere?

[Bug 838404] [NEW] opening existing file with gksu gedit creates untitled document

2011-08-31 Thread Sean Fitzpatrick
Public bug reported:

When opening a text file as super user, using gksu gedit , the
requested file opens, along with a second, untitled document. This is
slightly annoying, since gedit will ask if the untitled document should
be saved once the desired file has been edited and gedit is closed.

[Bug 838540] [NEW] 'Search for packages containing this document.' feature does not work

2011-08-31 Thread Vadim Peretokin
Public bug reported:

When a document isn't found, there is a link of Search for packages
containing this document.. Clicking that, however, says:

Installing packages by files isn't supported
This method hasn't yet been implemented.

If the link is left in the final release, it'll make the release look
unfinished.

[Bug 838543] [NEW] False battery warning +suspend

2011-08-31 Thread Vadim Peretokin
Public bug reported:

I pulled the plug on my laptop with it's battery full:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: charged
present rate:0 mA
remaining capacity: 7200 mAh
present voltage: 11100 mV
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ ubuntu-bug -w
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/info
present: yes
design capacity: 7200 mAh
[...]

And suddenly got a dialog saying that it was critically low (while the
icon top-left appears, properly, as full) and the laptop did suspend
shortly after that.

[Bug 432284] Re: evolution-alarm-notify crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_tree_model_get_valist()

2011-08-31 Thread Nick Jenkins
I think this has been reported and fixed upstream in

As long as Ocelot/11.10 ships with Evolution 3.1.3 or higher, or Evolution
3.0.3 or higher, then this should be resolved.

[Bug 689271] Re: Evolution fails to decrypt GPG message if signature (not encryption) key is not available

2011-08-31 Thread David Ayers
This is an issue for Maverick and Lucid which are still being supported. So
I'm reopening this issue.
Due to many issues with Natty's usability changes and my workflow I haven't
tried it there. Yet even if it may be fixed in Natty it should be fixed in
Maverick and Lucid also.

[Bug 721284] Re: [Upstream] file-roller unable to extract zip archives

Yes I get the same error with ubuntu 11.10, but I can reproduce in
fedora with the same version (3.1.2.1fc16) for file-roller and from
GNOME git-master (3.1.90). Maybe this is a compiler problem. I think
this.

cheers.
