[Bug 850651] [NEW] Keyring forgot LUKS passphrase
Public bug reported: Hi, I have an encrypted volume using LUKS on a iscsi device. When my notebook was returning from standby mode, I couldn't access it anymore. I restarted open-iscsi, but there was still a device which I removed with dmsetup. I still couldn't mount the volume (the passphrase is usually in my login keying) so I restarted my notebook. I couldn't login afterwards, so I checked the keyring and the passphrase was gone. The keyring must not under any circumstances forget one of my passphrases. Otherwise I have to keep all passphrases in a separate file which shouldn't be necessary. I luckily did. [Bug 732867] Re: gnome-display-properties monitor layout not saved when re-docking (and display port)
Calling gsd_xrandr_manager_apply_configuration (mgr, error); unconditionally from plugins/xrandr/gsd-xrandr-manager.c handle_fn_f7 will restore the existing configuration as well. But fn-f7 cycling through display modes stops working, as the existing configuration will always take precedence. Unfortunately I don't think gnome-settings-daemon has any idea that the system is being docked. So only conditionally calling apply_configuration from gsd-xrandr-manager.c handle_fn_f7 will most likely not work. Is there any other place in the system that is run only when a system is being docked? From there we could call ApplyConfiguration via dbus. Alternatively the fn-f7 modes should contain the saved configuration, the configurations are generated upon docking in generate_fn_f7_configs: g_ptr_array_add (array, gnome_rr_config_new_current (screen)); g_ptr_array_add (array, make_clone_setup (screen)); g_ptr_array_add (array, make_xinerama_setup (screen)); g_ptr_array_add (array, make_laptop_setup (screen)); g_ptr_array_add (array, make_other_setup (screen)); g_ptr_array_add (array, gnome_rr_config_new_stored (screen, NULL)); /* NULL-GError - if this can't read the stored config, no big deal */ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/732867 Title: gnome-display-properties monitor layout not saved when re-docking (and display port) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/732867/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 745556] Re: nautilus ssh connection after suspend to ram - browsing location lost
I think this behavior is not as it should be. At the time I wrote the previous message, it did work with suspend-to-ram. Now I checked with hibernate, and again I need to manually cut ssh connection and then do something to reconnect. And before I cut the connection, things freeze. So, the problems I have: - the freeze on some things (Nautilus, gedit) before I cut the (broken) connection. - the steps needed to get back to the connection and nautilus browsing state that i had before hibernation. I suggest some of the people at ubuntu should test this, and then decide what is the intended / desirable behavior in this kind of situation. Atm it seems that there is no intentional spec about this, just anything can happen. And please, be careful with modal dialogs, that interrupt the flow at the wrong time. The user should not care about the broken connection, until she wants to interact with the nautilus or gedit tab that depends on the connection. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/745556 Title: nautilus ssh connection after suspend to ram - browsing location lost To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/745556/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 850912] [NEW] Daily Please Add Me requests from robots can't be blocked
Public bug reported: Every day when I log in, I have anywhere between 15-20 robots asking me to Please Add Me. I always say no (one at a time), and each request window goes away as I would expect. However, the next day, as soon as I log in, the exact same requests are there... again. My belief is either empathy is not relaying my denial to the server, or the requests are coming from robots which enqueue the exact same request every night. At least 15-20 of them are the exact same daily offenders. The list only seems to be getting longer, with new names appearing around once a week. The offender requests are presently all coming in through the yahoo messenger service. Is there any way to block these?
