[Bug 865056] [NEW] system thinks battery is critically low and goes to hibernation
Public bug reported: I suspended and resumed the system with fully charged battery. Right after resume, the system decided to hibernate. When I resumed again, I could see the dialog Power - Laptop battery critically low - The battery is below the critical level and this computer is about to hibernate. Now, the power management settings show battery discharging with 1:48 (80%) left. Perhaps related: gnome-power-statistics shows two battery entries where the second one is battery_BAT2 with type unknown. At some point, I saw this one in the battery indicator and as the primary battery even though the real battery had charge left. Thanks for your attention. I found the culprit of these errors: installation disc was damaged. I reinstall Ubuntu using a new cd. The fix was very simple but took me 5 day and 4 nights found the culprit. Since today no more Windows in my pc. Thanks Linux developers. Well, I just uninstalled / reinstalled flashplugin-installer using the software centre to be sure, then restarted the PC, logged in then ran media player by itself. Sound was fine as before but, also as before, an image is only available for a fraction of a second if I drag to move then drop the media player window. [Bug 605138] Re: Inconsistency in the ways in which the seek functionality is implemented in Totem
As mentioned upstream this in intended functionality. From the FAQ: Q: Why does seeking with the keyboard keys (Left and Right arrow) in Totem not seek the same amount of time in either direction? A: This is on purpose. To find a particular point in a film, most people will seek forward and then realise that they've gone too far. Seeking back, if it used the same amount of time, would mean going back to where they last seeked from. You can experiment with pressing Ctrl or Shift along with the arrows to seek further, or closer (respectively). ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Status: Confirmed = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/605138 Title: Inconsistency in the ways in which the seek functionality is implemented in Totem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/605138/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 865194] Re: Nautilus segfault (nautilus-open-terminal)
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Re: [Bug 864573] Re: Previewing inkscape files crashes nautilus
Hi Sebastien, Have enabled apport and caused Nautilus to crash again but there is nothing in my /var/crash directory. I have also manually started apport with the 'sudo service apport start force_start=1' command but still no crash report is generated in the /var/crash directory. Am I missing something? Cheers, Rob On Mon, 2011-10-03 at 09:12 +, Sebastien Bacher wrote: Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/864573 Title: Previewing inkscape files crashes nautilus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/864573/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
