[Bug 664206] Re: SSH_AUTH_SOCK not being properly set: user has to type password even if saved in the password manager
This problem still exists in oneiric with default lubuntu setup. SSH_AUTH_SOCK is point to ssh-agent socket which is started by /etc/X11/Xsession. Gnome-keyring starts but environment variables are not exported in LXDE/Lubuntu session. And I can not find the place where it's exported by gnome/unity session. So the only workaround I found is to add to ~/.profile or somewhere in /etc/X11/Xsession.d/...: export `/usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon --start --components=ssh` So, I think this should be fixed the way similar to gnome-session, to allow enabling/disabling it via .config/autostart gui tools. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/664206 Title: SSH_AUTH_SOCK not being properly set: user has to type password even if saved in the password manager To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-keyring/+bug/664206/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 879897] [NEW] Pressing Enter in print dialog box will not cause printing
Public bug reported: Depending on where the focus is in the Print Dialog box, pressing Enter will fail to cause the printer to print if trying to print from Firefox or Gedit. Printing from LibreOffice, however, does NOT exhibit this bug. To replicate, do the following: 1. open Firefox or Gedit and call up the print dialog box by pressing Ctrl+P or FilePrint. 2. place the focus either in the Pages: section by specifying to only print Page 1 or in the Copies: section by requesting that two pages be printed. 3. press Enter. [Bug 844241] Re: Backlight not restored when moving the mouse
Adding lightdm because I've discovered another issue: 1)boot Ubuntu 2)leave pc idle without logging in 3)after 10 minutes (as I've set in screen settings) the screen goes standby 4)I cannot restore backlight even using keyboard shortcut (I think because I'm not logged in) 5)I've only one user so the focus is on password field, so I can enter the password although the screen is off 6)As soon the system enter Gnome session I can restore backlight using keyboard shortcut Is a strange problem...maybe it affects more modules (ligthdm, gnome- power-manager, graphic card driver??...), but I cannot reproduce it on other laptops, does anyone have a tip on how to isolate this bug to help resolving it? [Bug 742544] Re: Launcher is shown on the wrong screen in some multi-monitor setups
This bug is driving me insane. It makes Unity almost unusable for me. I have two large monitors (24) with my primary display directly in front of me and the second one angled to the left. I am very mouse-centric (I use very few keyboard shortcuts) and having to twist my neck all the way to the left monitor and target the mouse across two displays just to switch apps, which I do frequently (I am a software developer and use multiple concurrent apps constantly), is literally causing me neck pain! Why can't I just drag the launcher to the top/left/middle of the entire display surface? That is by far the most intuitive UI behavior and would solve the launcher placement problem i a way that works for everyone. In 10.04 I had the launcher on my primary display, which put it in the middle of my total display surface. I set it in CCSM to not dodge windows so it always just stayed visible. This was ideal for my situation. 11.10 has seriously regressed in this regard. I am trying hard to like Unity, but I am close to installing the gnome shell and being done with it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/742544 Title: Launcher is shown on the wrong screen in some multi-monitor setups To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/742544/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 879953] Re: gsd-printer crashed with SIGABRT in __kernel_vsyscall()
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 878486 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/878486 ** Visibility changed to: Public ** Description changed: On a fully updated Precise i386 system (obtained by replacing oneiric with precise in sources.list, dist-upgrading, and rebooting) running on a VMware Workstation 8.0.0 build-471780 virtual machine, with gnome- settings-daemon 3.2.1-0ubuntu2, I was informed about 30 seconds after logging in to a unity-2d session that gsd-printer had crashed with SIGABRT in __kernel_vsyscall(). Before Apport told me about the crash, I had inserted the virtual VMware Tools CD (but I had not installed VMware Tools), and I had opened a Nautilus window, but I doubt either of those things is related to the crash. + + I do not have any printers attached to the affected (virtual) machine. + (By default, a VMware virtual machine is created with a virtual printer + device, but I deleted this device before the first boot of the virtual + machine.) There are also no printers attached to the host machine, which + runs Oneiric amd64 with kernel 3.0.0-12-generic. I suspect this is a duplicate of bug 878065 (which would indicate that bug 878065 affects Precise as well as Oneiric).
