[Bug 871133] Re: Ubuntu Oneric Volume Step Can Not be Changed
I found a workaround :D With the command, you can control the volume: amixer set Master 1- (lower), amixer set Master 1+ (higher) This commands can be set for the special keys you want: System Settings - Keyboard - Shortcuts - Custom Shortcuts Here you have to create two new entries: 1. Name: VolumeUp, Command: amixer set Master 2+ (I think '1' is too slow for change). The second one for VolumeDown. Then set the key for running this command by clicking on the line and type, scroll or whatever you want to use for volume-control. The only thing which don't work is the quick-notifying (this bubble in the top-right corner) which shows the change of the volume. But now it works smooth as hell :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/871133 Title: Ubuntu Oneric Volume Step Can Not be Changed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/871133/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 397552] Re: [Solved 50%] Rhythmbox crash (no sound, but the interface contunue to work) after , and exactly after, 3 song, whatever it play...
I had to declare this bug as New again because originally it was declared Solved by Gabriel Genois who is the person responsible for reporting it in 2009, but it was in fact never solved. The symptoms described are the same ones that are happening when I use Rhythmbox. After I begin using it, I can listen to the first couple of songs, but then everything in Rhythmbox freezes and when I press Pause and then Play again, Rhtymbox crashes. Having closed by itself, I have no other option than to re-start it but that's kind of a hassle to do everytime I want to listen to music through Rhythmbox. I have a crash report that I gathered from the last crash and I will post it here immediately after posting this comment. [Bug 773896] Re: Evolution does not show persistent alarms in Unity
I am also with Ubuntu 11.10, but there is no pop-up window. It would be good to have a pop-up window (and a possibility to stop it in the preferences for the people that do not like it.) An indicator with a drop-down list of all active notification would be great as well. It would be handy if the notification(s) would be listed there (not disappear) until some action has been done (e.g. deactivate them by clicking on the entry). Indicator-icon should change when there is a notification or should disappear when there is none. [Bug 390989] Re: [SecurityRoadmap] Locked screen shows the desktop
I'm affected, too. I don't believe, this has something to do with drivers (I'm using nvidia-current) but I think, there is a flaw in the lock-mechanism. Occasionally, my desktop does not just flashes, but reveals the running applications *on top* of the login field (see attached screen shot). I'm strongly confident, this is just another reason, why you can't use Ubuntu in companies (think of a payslip sheet at the accounting). ** Attachment added: Picture taken from locked screen. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-screensaver/+bug/390989/+attachment/2675567/+files/information-leakage.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/390989 Title: [SecurityRoadmap] Locked screen shows the desktop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-screensaver/+bug/390989/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
